QUOTE(castelloz @ Dec 5 2007, 11:53 PM) Hi guys, I wanted to ask which PSP is more worth it to buy, is it from basically I don't recommend to buy from Sony-MY. RM799 is just to chop vegetable head, compare with Singapore and HK, their PSP Slim price is around RM600+ after conversion to MYR. If you stay at JB then can go Singapore to buy, then mod the firmware here and it's still cheaper than RM799.SOny authorized seller, or FROM normal shops where can be easily found at SG Wang, Lowyat and ect which doesnt provide Sony's 5 years warranty. Actually I know nothing much about PSP and Im not interested at all to buy a PSP previously. But suddenly my lil sister asked me to buy for her birthday on mid of December. As for me, money is not an issue. Ive checked SOny Style website and the current price for PSP Slim (PSP-2006) is rm799. I wonder what will be included in the box? And, If I were to buy an original PSP Slim from SOny Style, could I play the PSP games that can be downloaded from internet without modify anything or downgrade the chip? And If I buy the UMD original games(the one that looks like catridge) which normally costs about rm100++, can I copy the game into the PSP memory and play the game from the memory instead from the catridge. Sorry for the noob questions. Thanks in advance.. |

QUOTE(lemon_lime @ Dec 6 2007, 11:14 PM) One noobie question, when I transfer my songs into the Music folder, how do I make the cover art appear on the PSP slim when playing the album/ songs? Because I have one album where the cover art appears but the rest does not. Any setting, or any specific naming convention for the cover art? By the way, i'm using CFW 3.71 m33-3. if it can be seen on Vista, then it should be seen on PSP tooahh... u can implement a custom image as album art with mp3tag http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ This post has been edited by dattebayo: Dec 7 2007, 12:05 PM |

QUOTE(junkieG @ Dec 9 2007, 05:07 PM) bass not that strong... still lose out to walkman phonesQUOTE(mzaidi @ Dec 9 2007, 07:24 PM) The speaker is small, and I can't hear spoken voice-overs in games / videos properly using the speaker even when the volume is set to max. The only way to overcome this problem is to use a pair of earphone. Sound quality via earphone is acceptable for me. it's games dependent, some games will produce very loud sounds when turning on to maximum volume, while some games is really too soft in sounds.Added on December 9, 2007, 10:43 pm QUOTE(junkieG @ Dec 9 2007, 07:08 PM) sound output by psp speakers is actually good enough alrdy, its on par with budget laptops at least./This post has been edited by dattebayo: Dec 9 2007, 10:43 PM |

QUOTE(silentser @ Dec 13 2007, 02:00 PM) hi, i want to get a handheld console soon, still cant decide PSP or NDSL, but that not the point here if you are those judge graphics and sound quality over the rest, PSP has the superb handheld hardware, 333mhz CPU and 166mhz GPU all fit into your pocket i never play/touch a psp before, i want to ask, do i need to pay to play multiplater game with psp? or do i need anything extra to play multiplayer game. i read a few thread and i found something about KAI and ad-hoc game, what is that? sorry guys... noob here it's FOC for online play, but only few titles offer the online internet play KAI is to let you play with other players far away, via the internet, but using ad-hoc mode in the psp. u ll have to be in a wifi hotspot area in order to play psp online |

QUOTE(Navigator(R) @ Dec 19 2007, 03:10 AM) Hi , Slim do have better buttons, especially the analog stick, u wont know it unless u have your hands on item, why so many ppl are getting to get Slim PSP? slim good then phat one? i'm owner of PSP1000 fat version with3.71 m33 firmware , compare with slim version nothing much then fat , just duble ram and video output even u know when 640x840 pixel appear at min 21 inci Tv , dammm worst image sampai xde mood playing game , For the ram ... i think now does't have any game that required higher ram, if game maker do so .. that make the phat going down and phat one jadi kazanah je .xkan ade ko hmm i thnk for now on..... FAT one is ok already , maybe 2 , 3 year change to slim , and price go down also hehe Also the relocated speakers produce more better stereo, means it's easier to discern which sound is from left which is from right |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 28 2007, 11:23 PM) Thanks for the reply. it's slightly more than an hour i think... but you ll see the power LED off when the batt has fully chargedYeah, hope I can get it on my hands once my exam finish on 2nd. to use fat's batt on Slim u ll need a special battery cover, not sure it's on retail yet now... actually PSP Slim and fat...both also having the same standby/gaming time, my experience is it won't go more than 4 hours in intensive gaming, running at 333mhz @ mspd. The batt life is even shrinking if running UMD |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 30 2007, 03:42 AM) I understand that point. not sure whether the firmware support 8 GB yet, but because 8 GB would have to use FAT32 format, unlike 4 GB which still can use FAT16, thefore 8 GB will be slower. As I am not a hardcore gamer for now, not sure after I own a PSP. Any games suitable for females? However, guys if I may ask will 8GB MSPD make the psp lag? Or I should just stick with 4GB? games ah... PSP games mostly focussed on killing people one apart from that left only musical, puzzle, racing, simulation... actually for gals, NDS is more suitable... |

QUOTE(deathninjax @ Dec 30 2007, 10:44 PM) can the psp's 333mhz processor decodes the 720p media? if it is possible, i can use my ps2 to watch hddvd and bluray already. i think not, its only supports up to main profile only... which is up to 480p @ 500kbpsheck even a 480p video with 700kbps video bitrate it also won't play... that's weak This post has been edited by dattebayo: Dec 30 2007, 11:23 PM |

QUOTE(JeffreyAvril @ Jan 7 2008, 12:06 AM) Guys, I recently bought my new PSP Slim from japan. Its firmware is 3.72. How do i install 3.71m33 onto it? I understand that i need to downgrade to 1.5 first but i require a pandora battery. I also found out some forums where they say only fat psp batteries can be pandora-ed. And also i am not sure whether the pandora battery can be used as normal battery again. i dunno where ur location isThe most crucial pain is that i have been told that the latest battery is pandora-proof. And, to make a pandora battery, i need to unsoldier certain pins of the chipboard which i do not wish to do unless necessary So, how do i overcome this problem. Please help. Thank you. but if these stuff seems too complicated to u, and u re in kl, go for bernard moh or sce's shop think they ll offer reasonable price for flashing firmware, avoid those sg wang shops lah... |
