want to check with you guy on the hold function.
When you put the psp on hold mode, would there be any indicator led lighted up beside the "hold" word?
*

Hi guys~

Would like to know whether if i use a fat PSP (with a certain orginal firmware, say 2.82) to reformat the Memory stick, and then i put this memory stick into a PSP slim (with da latest custom firmware), can the memory stick run normally, or will there be any side effects?

And secondly, to format the memory stick using PSP, just turn on the usb connection in the PSP, and then from My Computer -> X: Removable Disk -> Format. That's all? And all the folders (like MP_Root, Games, etc) will be auto-created right?

Cheers. smile.gif

1. it will work fine. same format mah...
2. ...that you need to format it using ur psp instead of formating it thru PC. if thru pc u will get no content (no folders) inside the mem stick...if thru psp, all the folders r created for u.

This is the part where i get confused. What is the point of backing up the folders? I mean, IF i forgot to backup, what will happen?
*
ur saved games? I suppose you'll have no qualm to play all over again? etc..etc..you can create the folder manually of course but what about the files?

QUOTE(mzaidi @ Nov 16 2007, 05:15 PM)
If you didn't backup the folders, you'll have to create them all manually since the memory stick will be empty after formatting.
That's why he said that you need to backup the folders first, (example, copy them to your desktop) before formating to FAT, and then copy back the folders into the memory stick after you've formatted the memory stick to FAT.
*
doh.gif if back up folders just to save u the trouble of creating them manually all over again...then there's no need to do that at all already lor...

Well, Saved Games wise, that would not really be a problem. Unless its really a serious matter like bricking, then i guess backing up would absolutely be needed...
Now, here's a term i dont understand. What is XMB actually?  tongue.gif Sorry for being noobish...LOL...
