my psp doesn't have recovery file...
*
okay, shut down ur psp.
then hold the RIGHT trigger button while powering it up.
it should lead u to a blue screen menu.

go to configuration, then if the NO UMD feature is ENABLED.
just hit x on it to disable it.
u dont hav any idea it existed? mostly shop owner set it to
enable by default without letting us knowing it.

Hi All,

Regarding playing video in PSP, i have following question as below, appreciate reply ok.
1. After converting my file to MP4 or AVC, i can rename the file anything and put them in VIDEO folder? no need to name them in M4VXXXX.MP4 format?  why certain video file (like movie trailer) put in ANV folder?  can the M4Vxxx.MP4 put in the video folder and not the MP_Root folder?
2. I though the PSP can play MP4,MOV,AVI,DivX out of the box and no conversion is needed for firmware 3.10 OE-A?

Thanks
*
the psp can only play MP4 and PMP video format.
the custom firmware only unlocks full scale resolution the psp can handle.
u must put the files in MP_ROOT folders. or else, it doesnt work.

I just bought 1 PSP for my gf. My friend help me to install a  few "ahem" games in the MSPD there. But since i,m so new to PSP, can all the PSP sifu tell me what exactly can i do with the PSP?
1) Can PSP play online game? (like PS2 online or Xbox Live) If can, then how?

2) I can install the the MP3, Music Video files and photos inside the memory stick same as the "ahem" game right?

3) Besides Lumines and Puzzle Bubble Pocket, any other good arcade game to introduce? smile.gif
*
hi, here you go smile.gif
1. yes it can, just find any games that support infrastructure mode.
eg. Metal Gear Solid, Test Drive Unlimited, Medal of Honor, etc.
u must hav an access point to play smile.gif
just enter the game, then pick infra mode ( if available ) then it'll prompt an AP scan.
scan for hotspots. after that ur good to go smile.gif its easy.

2. Yes you can also tongue.gif huhu! just copy the musics to ms0:/psp/music
for photo's, its the same directory but in the photo folder.
videos? u need a converter in order to play it. smile.gif
i suggest pspvideo9.com for starters.

3. umm.. no idea since i dont like arcade games tongue.gif

2.71? u'll need to downgrade ur psp to firmware 1.5 before
ur psp can do anything a homebrew enable'ed psp does.
if u didnt buy 1 , go buy from bro bernard "gamers solution"
at the console thread. he can explain to you all the things u need to know.
and he's selling it at a reasonable price.

Hi there,

Might need an answer to a beginner question here since im still new to PSP after i bought it last week.

Issit better to put machine on sleep mode or complete turn off mode?
Cause i tend to play in office once in a while ( maybe every 1 - 2 hours) and each session is like 15 minutes.
My friend was telling me to put it to sleep mode but i need better confirmation on that.
Let's say im putting my psp to sleep mode for 1 week, will the battery last that long?
Will turning off the console completely degrade the life span?

Please advice.

Thank You in advance. smile.gif
*
as logical thing to do, put it in sleep mode if u want to put it in standby while
u still want to continue the game without having to restart the whole game in
a short while. sleep mode 1 week. hmm.. i dont know. but if ur psp battery
died it also act in standby mode. doesnt affect if im not mistaken.

QUOTE(barracuda82 @ Jun 26 2007, 05:09 AM)
so if i'm looking for psp that act as all in one..what version i should buy...? any recommendation where to buy so i can get cheaper..i'm kinda noob in PSP..i have the intension to buy it.! drool.gif laugh.gif
*
go buy one with a OE firmware installed. just go to bernard ( gamers solution's thread )
around consoles couch, he'll be glad to explain all u nid 2 know, if you come by his
shop. nod.gif

Sifus, i wanna ask some noob question.

I am going to buy a 3.40 OE-A PSP. Izzit upgradable to 3.52 M33?
What r the chances of my psp got bricked? Coz im not much a techies.
I am more of read-and-follow type.

I havent buy the PSP yet. Coz PSP Slim+Lite is holding me back. As some rumours said that PSP slim's FW cannot be used on PSP Fat,
will ppl stop upgrading PSP Fat's FW? And concentrating more on developing FW for slim PSP?
*
no worries, yes 3.52 can be upgraded through any custom firmware.
but its a different installer for 1.50.

dont worry, unbricking is easily done nowadays.
yes, the slim's 3.60m33 only useable for the slim because it doesnt support 1.50 kernel. thats all laugh.gif
no, surely the hackers have the solution for this. they're fat users too u know tongue.gif

PSP Slim 3.60 M33 already stable ?

Sorry for all the noob question.

2 1/2 - 3 hours maybe. if you can just plug in the adapter while playing tongue.gif
