Help How to transfer files from MacBook Air to, Ext hard drive

Can anyone help? It's my dad's. He's never done it before, and I have no idea how to do it bcs I don't use Apple products. Tried the copy paste, won't work bcs can't paste. Tried to drag, won't work either

Install the ParagonNTFS app on the Macbook first. Restart the OS. Now you should be able to write to ext HDD / USB

So, just install the app, restart, and it'll work? No need to run the app after installing? Also, what do you mean by the OS? Is it the MacBook Air itself?

I know what OS is. I was just unsure of what he meant by restarting the OS. Since you've reconfirmed what I thought he meant, thanks then

I bought and use external hdd (seagate) and able to transfer without any hiccups from macair. No need to format or anything.

just use fat32 or exfat format will do...

Yeah, I reformatted to exfat. Read that fat32 has limitations
