Testing battery life for video recording.

TL;DL version for y'all, it used 1/5 battery after the user recorded 1 hour footage.

tech leap sure worthy already. if u mainly take /use camera whole day for trip, then feel it is too heavy, way more worth it?  laugh.gif

Just watched the new launch hands on for both the Z6ii and Z7ii, won't bother with the Z7ii as I can't afford it...

But thinking the Z6ii, would it make more sense to just get the Sony A7iii since now the new body is RM 6399 from kldslr...

Based on what I read, the A7iii is superior to the Z7ii correct?

AF superiority, probably. But if you're coming from f-mount then Z7II might be a better choice unless you are willing to do a full jump. Frankly the Sony or even Canon seems like a better choice. For me I stick with Nikon cause I have f-mounts to use with... but then again the z-mount lens are so good that I rarely use my f-mounts now.

I was meaning to say A7iii vs Z6ii, cos I won't consider the 1st gen Z6 as it only has 1 card slot...

Moreover the only FX lens I have is an old Tamron 70-200 which isn't really that great anyways...

Contemplating to choose between Z5/A7iii/Z6ii rclxub.gif

Since you only have 1 FF lens anyways and it’s a Tamron πŸ˜… I might just consider Canon or Sony.
*
Yea that's what I was thinking, if I have good Nikkor glass then obviously it doesn't make much sense to jump ship πŸ€ͺ

But there another sad reality of old gear, used prices for both my camera bodies + all 4 lenses add up also cannot get the A7iii body alone hahaha 😭

Hi guys, would like to get some opinion from u all.

Currently i'm using D7500 and have the lens below:
1. Nikon AF-S 18-140mm
2. Nikon AFP 70-300mm
3. Nikon AF-S 35mm f1.8
4. Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 EX DC HSM
5. Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3

If i want to jump to APS-C mirrorless train, i'm in dilemma whether to:
1. Go to Z50 with FTZ adapter and keep the lens i used now or
2. Sell off all and go for new eco system such as Canon or Sony.

Reason of 2 mainly i see Nikon future not optimistic considering how they cease the operation in SEA these 2 years, i don't want to invest something which has limited expansion in future.

How u guys think?
*
I was in this dilemma before MCO last year, was planning to sell of my Nikon gear for a Sony A7iii with their 50mm f1.8 lens smile.gif
Planning all goes well until I found out that the price of ALL my gear listed below can't even get half of the A7iii body alone...

Nikon D5300
Nikon D7100
Nikon 35mm f1.8
Tamrom 17-50mm f2.8 VC
Tokina 11-16mm
Tamron 70-200mm f2.8

So I ended up just parting ways with those in bold and remain just with 1 body and 2 lenses, am still trying to get rid of the 70-200mm cos I really underutilised it...

So the TLDR version is think about whether do you really wanna use all those lenses you have, and if they are generating any income for you.
If just a hobbiyist, I would suggest getting rid of all the Nikon stuffs and move to Sony.. At least Sony seems to be going strong in the mirrorless game..

And yet am here still stuck with the D7100 + 35mm DX
I'm still happy with it but the weight and size is making me using it outside less and less, just a hassle to be lugging it around in my use case sad.gif

I used to have D5300 + D7100 couple with a tokina 11-16 + Tamrom 17-50 + tamron 70-200 + Nikon 35mm, and the saddest part about it is that I can't even afford half of a Z6ii or Sony A7iii if I sold all of the gears I have πŸ˜‚
