you guys blaming him for not being up to date about the note 7 recall? Regardless if he was indeed ignorant on the matter, it isn't his duty as a customer to keep constantly up to date companies announcements.
It simply isn't. In the event of an maloccurrence such as this one, the only party to blame is the manufacturer for selling such a phone in the first place. If it was so much of a hazard, Samsung should have pushed a firmware update disabling all Note 7's still in circulation as suggested by Mr Ng.
Sure, samsung made a few corrective measures by spreading the message of their return policy and yada yada but no number of steps forward can counter how far back they went simply by selling potential bombs
