tokdukun oh noes. but notice that he's not using Samsung original charger to charge his note 7. the very 1st case of a burned down note 7 was that china case where the person used a third party charger with an old Samsung galaxy cable with a micro-usb-to-usb-type-c converter.

QUOTE(cringe @ Oct 16 2016, 11:22 PM) For god sake I'm sure many users out there use third party charfer and never had these kind of issues. And I'm also one of them. yeah I use 3rd party charger for my previous phones, but when Samsung started using adaptive fast charging with the note4, I stopped using 3rd party. the note 7 has only been charged by the free wireless charger, the free Samsung original powerbank and of course, the pack in charger. ok sometimes I use a 3rd party charger for the note 4, but since note 7 uses usb type c socket, it necessitates using it's own cable and charger.

QUOTE(azbro @ Oct 16 2016, 11:20 PM) What day news is this? Last week? How come Samsung say exchange only come Wednesday the Samsung shop that I preordered called me on Saturday telling me about the refund or replace with s7e + rm300 cash option. he said I can come on Monday to do it. but just this afternoon called me that they are sold out of s7e replacement units and in fact recommend me to just get the full refund (while getting to keep the freebies and extra charger/earphones/cables etc.).

QUOTE(tokdukun @ Oct 16 2016, 11:27 PM) Dah tau Note7 battery more likely to explode, still use cap ayam charger. Bodo. Benson Leung, the google engineer who test USB-C cables recently fried his laptop cuz of poor cables short circuiting it. Newer device now not as simple as during S3, S5, ip6 time. With fast charging and USB-C port in most devices nowadays including Note7, it doesn't pay to skimp and use cheap, uncertified charger. Especially since Note7 more likely to explode, gotta be more diligent if still wanna use the phone. Stick to ori charger only. SME will still likely to compensate him, on top of full refund.yeah, full refund + free s7e I bet. untungla.... and I agree to all of your points above.

QUOTE(tokdukun @ Oct 16 2016, 11:36 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Sigh, that's why. Some people can afford rm3k phone, but only use rm10 charger and expect everything is all right. Deswai, so tech savvy to pay rm3k smartphone, but don't have any online social account? It's an explosive topic on the internet la, still dinosaur only read newspaper meh. Drama king. Only today start come out. If it's certified eg Aukey, Anker, Tronsmart, Choetech etc known ones, it's ok, but they can cost quite a bit. So they instead get those cap ayam rm5, 10 ones, definitely dangerous. tl; dr don't use RM10 cable to charge your expensive phone...
