Just changed to eSIM in KLCC. Took awhile for it to work though. Dunno if it’s the QR code or sim activation issue.

I just came back from Maxis Center Cheras. Told me they have stock but can't release it to public. Apparently still got issue with activation. Told me to come back next week.

The only reason i changed to eSIM is for travelling. Don't have to carry an extra SIM card.
That's odd. It should be available thru all their centres. You could try KLCC.
Damn. That's alot. I just so happened to be in KLCC, so I decided to try my luck.

Finally got it from Maxis Center Cheras. Counter staff wasn't very confident in explaining the activation process. Told me to watch this

Activation was quick. Do note that upon successful registration of your new eSIM (eSIM issued at counter but not activated) , your old SIM line is disabled immediately. I wanted to get for my supplementary line too but didn't have the phone with me in person, so didn't proceed with getting supplementary eSIM.

U will need to get physical sim back if ur future phone doesnt have it.
Otherwise just scan the qr code as usual.

The counter staff claimed that the QR Code can only be scanned once. I haven't tested scanning the code on another device.
