Yeah for phones on Zerolution or EasyPhone (Celcom) installment plans, the phones are tied to the telco until the end of contract - in another term, locked. Buyers are wary of purchasing phones from telcos - you can't use another telco's SIM if it's still running on contract unless the termination fee or whatever contract that binds is released or waived.

This is only applicable for installment plan phones - if buy outright should be no problem.

Installment plans = zerolution in totality.

Normal contract = buy the phone outright but contracted 2 years (Phone Line - MOP): This will not be affected.

It's a 3rd party app, I can't recall what app is that but previously I've seen a buyer using it. They install the app to the phone while buying it, basically similar process like how most phone shops take second-hand phones
