steel absorbs heat better than plastic. However plastic may degrade and leak harmful material into water, so dont use this water for consumption.

Poly come in many shape and size.

You can have 1000L poly also.

I use 2 poly size 450L= 900l.

Thickness 100mm - 240kg/m2 - 7.26kN/m2

My concrete is open air too. Should have a drainage for water flow out. Concrete treat with water sealant and paint.

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) like those black poly pipe very commonly used now (and the tank) is safe for use. HDPE products are safe and are not known to transmit any chemicals into foods or drinks, making this plastic a low health risk variety, according to Chemical Safety Facts.

Stainless Steel also leach iron, chromium and nickel into water also but probably not considered as harmful also. smile.gif

This leak can be treated and repaired. The concrete load also depends on the iron bar used.

yes ..after long time the rain water drop into same place ..slowly concrete become holes and crack line ..thus water leak ..
some area the water will stuck there and wont flow to the drainage...

You can google for video on how to repair the crack line. Plenty smile.gif

Of course you'll never know unless you get the architect drawing laugh.gif

Looks like they designed the tank to be put on concrete slab. I'm sure that part of concrete is the strongest point. Probably got column to support it.

Dunno anything much about Penten.

Looks like your tank is poly material. Excerpt from Wiki:

Although HDPE pipe is often estimated to last 50 years, they are in fact more likely to have life expectancies of 100 years. PIPA (Plastics Industry Pipe Association) and the Plastic Pipe Institute (PPI) have written technical white papers on HDPE design life.

Note HDPE (high-density polyethylene).

Clean it up and apply waterproof sealant.

Than tile it up the whole area.

Cause the waterproof sealant cannot last for long. You need to apply it from time to time.

Tile it up will prevent the rain from chipping off the concrete.

Water tank inside the rooftop for bathroom use only, use what type of water tank?

The stainless steel water tank is full stainless steel water type or just stainless steel paint on water tank?

And yes the paint peel off, so when ask the installer said stainless steel water tank is just stainless steel paint only, so got conned?

hi guys, i currently have a poly tank on my roof to supply water to the toilets, however with recent water disruption i would also like to add an additional SS tank at the point of entry to supply water to the kitchen as well. Should this be done? or should i just change to poly tank to a higher capacity SS tank and pull a pipe to supply to the kitchen?

thanks
