Bought mine off Lazada at RM 1,999 (without discount code) and it arrived first thing in the morning the next day. Try checking 11th Street and DirectD for alternatives but I'm not sure about speed of delivery. Also because mine is the A3000 model, it came with two fat pins that require an adapter. Could be a bit troublesome but then again it's nothing major.

It is indeed a good purchase for those who cannot justify the price paid for S7E. With depreciation cost factored in, I've been feeling uncomfortable about swapping for S7E, which has ultimately led to the decision of OP3.

Between the N5 and the N4, I'd rather stick to the N4. I do not have a N5 myself but I do have a N4. If you're a heavy user, you would benefit more from the N4. From toying with my friends' N5, I find the N5 to be rather restrictive in many areas, one being the inability to add on storage. Strangely, the N4 still feels pretty powerful today despite how much it has aged. I've been using it since it was released, equipped it with Spigen's hybrid armor and when I passed the phone to my mom (after factory reset and replacing the screen protector), it's good as new (both the looks and performance).  IMHO, do not waste money buying the N5. If you reeeeallly need the stylus, fall back to the N4 instead.

So sorry just wondering for those who got the refund from Samsung store. Can we get refund from non Samsung product as Spigen case we brought together with the phone?

Im rather curious, how many note7 got burned up here in Malaysia? Even the replaced units?

Hi guys.. anyone tried slot in spen note7 into note5..?  The smaller note7 spen can it hold /wouldnt drop out or more importantly not getting stuck?

I returned my Note7 yesterday at Sunway Pyramid.

It was pretty smooth sailing, signed a paper, just return empty box and phone, and then receive refund by cheque.

I'm happy at the end, I get 2 adapters, 2 USB-C cables, 2 earphones, 2 USB-C jack, 2 OTG jack and those freebies. Though, losing the Note7 was sad indeed, especially since both Note7 I used for the past 2 months were bug-free

Can't quite compare to Note7, but nothing is, not even Pixel or LG V20 lol.

But I guess it's value for money, and probably good RV seeing supply very limited, yet demand seems high. Most of all, it's probably the only non-Samsung with scroll capture out there

Will wait for Note8 or whatever renamed model with S-Pen.

The dealbreaker for S7E for me is because it's still on Micro USB port lol. I dunno why, I've had few cables where the 2 "teeth" sink in, thus making connection loose when charging.

Plus, the convenience of USB-C being reversible, don't need to think, just simply plug in is nice lol.

Haha, it's just me I guess, dunno why I'm bad with micro usb cables lol. But then again, since I think micro usb is going extinct soon, might as well future proof with USB-C phone. Also, thanks to Note7, I now have 3 chargers with USB-C head

But has anyone actually went to Maxis and settled the refund (waiver) this way yet? I don't want to be going to a Maxis Centre and being told that I can't - waste of my time / petrol / toll / parking / etc.

Since Maxis promised to call me, I'm still waiting for the call. And I've not seen any official announcement from them.

Haha, S7E is definitely the better phone.

1. IP68 water resistant. Oh man, I now feel a little paranoid not having water resistance 
2. That gorgeous 2K AMOLED hnnnggghhh
3. Best camera. OP3's not too bad, also got press home button twice to launch, or draw O when screen off, but quality is incomparable.
4. Wireless charger. Yep.
5. Edge screen. I thought it was gimmicky, but after trying and customising it to my need, it's actually pretty handy and I like it.

Though due to that, I don't use any screen protector, but throughout 2 months of owning Note7, always carrying it in my pocket with keys, it never scratched.
6. Probably better batt life, 3,600mAh vs OP3's 3,000mAh. So far, I got 1 hour SOT with 80% batt, so estimating about 5 hours ish for OP3, though I'm on dual sim.

i mean... just cuurious... how would the edge bit be different? how is it more handy compared to the flat screen?

if it's the the edge panel... can be easily replaced with SWIPEPAD apps that has got even more functions.

for me... it was useless to have curved edges... movies don't feel so nice. some websites display in full screen and i need to turn phone a bit... i can't even use the pen properly when i wanna crop the sides...

Hows the features and functions as we are used to the Note 7? OP3 is more towards stock android while Note 7 is heavily masked Touchwiz. Am worried I might not get used to it. Btw, all OP3s now are AP sets. No stock of original sets at the moment. 

Nothing compares to Note7 It has many features, which if utilized, is simply unrivaled.

OP3 indeed is very "empty" and "lightweight", coupled with solid hardware like SD820, 6GB RAM and 64GB internal, the UI just flies, switching tasks effortlessly.

Perhaps this simplicity gives the perception it'll be stable and reliable in the long run

Given its asking price, it's good value for money, then has very, very fast charger, with scroll capture, it's a good "stop gas" measure while waiting for Note8 I suppose.

Agreed. Am just worried that the Op3 would be so empty and simple for Note 3 users like us. Note 3 users are too pampered seriously. I can even go back to the S7E which I migrated from. 

We know Note7 is epic when there's so many articles, even lowyat writes one, the top alternatives to Note7

OP3 is consistently in the list. Its fuss-free approach is its strength.

Low price but at least flagship tier is one of my criteria to replace Note7, can't shake this feel of reluctance to spend more for something that is not Note7 lol.

Yes especially when paying flagship price for some phone that you know would never be better than the note 7. So I chose to relegate to the back seat at get something that can last me for a few months before they come out with a replacement for the Note 7. The OP3 fits the bill nicely.
