The refund is very complicated. Digi is yet to refund the extra 10% discount from SME to all Note 7 buyers. If extra RM200 rebate, then those opted for RM98 plan with pricing of RM1880 will be RM1680 if exchange with S7 edge. How about the promised 10% discount?

A simple math calculation- Extra RM20 ( RM100 24 months contract vs RM80 contractless plan)- total cost equates to ~ RM2180, which does not make any significant reduction if opted for bundle purchase.
*
The 10% discount from SME is not applicable to Telco since their terms and plans are totally different.

Thought I have yet to figure out how to do the calculation rclxub.gif

Mine (Digi 68 package):

Device Price: 2,150.00
Upfront Payment: 519.00 (rebate throughout 24months contract)
Subtotal: 2,669.00
GST6% : 160.15

Total: 2,829.15

contract used for 2 month+, rebated 43.25
actual refunded device price: 2,829.15 + 43.25 = 2,872.40

Refund price @ SME: 2,879.10

hmm.gif hmm.gif not sure if my calculation is right...

On the other hand, the iPhone 7 plus is a good deal. For the 32gb , you still get some money back from Digi. No need to top up at all. For the 128gb , you only need to top up 381.

Gonna opt for the 128gb ip7plus. Yes, it's still a downgrade compared to the note 7. Bo bian, have to suffer for 1 year . What's good is that iPhone tend to have high resell value , meaning my note 8 next year would be free
*
Trust me, 32gb ip7 is not worth it. The 32gb size is lower speed than the 128gb's. And bear in mind that there are no MicroSD slot on ip7. You are to live with it for the rest of the phone's life.

128gb... too expensive shakehead.gif

for the refund - what info do they need? just bank account number & name and they will bank in?
*
You need to show them your bank statement (the header) or the bank book along with your IC copy.

Digi Midvalley centre is hopeless.
Yesterday went there to get an idea on how will the Note 7 recall program proceed and their people there have little or no knowledge on this. All they know is to sell the IP7 plans.
- When asked how to exchange, said no stock, when coming don't know.
- When asked refund process, don't know also.
- When asked new package, super fast response with all the necessary papers.

We hear you. We apologize for unpleasant experience at our Digi Store. As for your queries, since Note 7 is recalled, there is no replacement of Note 7 at all 😞 Digi however, will collect the full set device from you and cancel your contract without any charges. The refund will be processed within 3 weeks.  At the same time, Digi offer RM200 discount for Note 7 customers when you sign up for S7 Edge or iPhone 7 ya...  All you need to do is just walk-in to our Digi Store to return the phone and sign up for any of the 2 models.

Hope the above clarifies your query.

Do PM us if you need further assistance.

QUOTE
The issue is your branch knows nothing about it.
My contact is XXX-XXXXXXX Please check on this and advise how much refund I will be getting.
And, as far as we are aware of, samsung Malaysia only need the box and the phone, all accessories inside the box we can keep, as well as the freebies during pre order.
Please get somebody that knows about this to get in touch with me on the abovementioned phone number. You should be able to trace what is the contract attached to it right now.

Then no more... Haiz mad.gif

Hi, may I know which DIGI centre you go. I think most of us will go different DIGI centre. Last Sunday I went to DIGI Garden, even confirm from their own Supervisor, it only need the phone and box to get refund. In fact, I bring all the accessories to there. They said dun need, just phone and box only. Phone is with S-pen,

For those DIGI one, please mention which DIGI centre u go ya. Dun confuse ppl here. If gt problem, can proceed to DIGI Garden. I think DIGI Garden more profesional of all the DIGI centre I been before.

Digi Gardens fucuk me on my face. Maybe its not the supervisor though.

this is what me and my sister posted at their facebook:

QUOTE
Digi I am deeply disappointed on your way of handling your loyal customer who is holding a NOTE 7. I went to your Gardens Digi Center yesterday and was informed for the following issues: (1) Sorry we couldn't let you know how much is the refund for the phone, you will only know that after you received the cheque in probably 3 weeks time, no comment (2) Sorry we could't trace your purchase of this phone but yes we know you are our customer (3) No refund of any accessories you've bought for your phone. Anything please liaise with Samsung (4) If you are returning your phone and buying the S7 we will give you the refund of RM 200 but sorry we do not have stock. We have no idea when will we be having it so please ask different Digi Center to check. That's no longer our problem (5) You must return the phone before 12 Nov otherwise we won't be liable at all. A believe any customer will not be able to bear with this kind of answer. You are now telling us none of your business for every valid questions that I have posted to you. There is no call from Digi like the first recall and you are assuming one simple SMS will be able to resolve your problem. It doesn't even resolve my problem even when I have visited your store. Put yourself in customer's shoe and try to be a problem solver than an irresponsible service provider. We don't deserve for all these passive answers. Hopefully you can take this complaint seriously. What I need is someone who is willing to resolve this problem sincerely with a loyal customer.

Luffy how much RM you got refunded?

more for those who bought from Digi...

things to consider...
* device price
* advance payment <-- so, this one... how
* GST on the above two items <-- how considering the above is being refunded to us... considered as donated to govt?
* rm319 rebate over 24 months <-- pro-rated for your last bill/ month in this contract?
* 1 month rebate for first recall
*
Mine:
Contract: Postpaid 68.
Device Price: RM2150.00
Upfront Payment: RM 519.00
Subtotal: RM2669.00
6% GST: RM160.15
Total: RM2829.15

Wonder how will they calculate the refund hmm.gif

Note7 owners who got their set from Digi...

seems Digi has clarified what needs to be returned...

see:
so now, it's in line with what Samsung Malaysia is asking -- basically just the phone (with the SIM tray and S-Pen) and box.
*
Well that's something positive. Now is to figure how much is the refund formula.

Keep it up bois flex.gif

Banking wise, there is no issue with having debit balance in credit card account.

RRP for S7E is 3099
RRP for N7 is 3199, -10% pre-order = 2879.1
previous N7 user can exchange S7E for -300 discount -> 2879.1-300 = 2579.1
if S8 upgrade program, you pay 2579.1 + (3099/2) = 4128.60

Or what they meant is:

Trade in N7 user's S7E @ 50% to buy the S8E/S8/N8? that would be worth to consider as the trade in would give you about RM1550 (RRP 3099 x50%) discount.
