sorry for asking this, you can actually pay off another cc using a cc?
*
Only works for Aeon CC. You can pay Aeon CC via Posonline using any credit card. I experimented it back in March using Vox card.

QUOTE(kart @ Nov 4 2016, 06:02 AM)
UOB Customer Service Officer gave me a weird information about UOB Yolo Card, but it is unverified information, since I cannot find any information about it on UOB website.  rclxub.gif

Other than UOB Yolo Platinum Credit Card that we all know about, UOB also offers UOB Yolo Lite Credit Card.

The difference for UOB Yolo Lite Credit Card
- The minimum annual income is lower, at RM 24,000 per annum.
- 6 % cashback on online transactions and 3 % cashback on dining are same , but the maximum cashback capped per month should be lower than of UOB Yolo Platinum Credit Card.

The setup of Yolo and Yolo Lite is somewhat similar to UOB Lady's Card, whereby different annual income of the cardholder will determine the maximum cashback that can be gained.

A minimum annual income is required :
- RM24,000 for UOB Lady's Classic Card
- RM48,000 for UOB Lady's Platinum Card
- RM100,000 for UOB Lady's Solitaire Card

Has anyone heard about Yolo Lite, or the CS officer has given me wrong information?

For sure, we will stick with UOB Yolo Platinum Credit Card.
*
Important! Calling all Yolo card holders who didn't meet the minimum annual income requirement, that is RM36k, please call to CS to confirm whether or not your Yolo card is Lite Plat or normal Plat. If Lite Plat, you will not enjoy first year annual fee waiver and it will be charged on the 2nd or 3rd statement, only 2nd year they will waive, then 3rd year onwards every year will be charged. When I called the 1st CS, she told me all this. After that I called again, another CS also said the same thing.

Only UOB PRVI Mile, Preffered Plat MasterCard and Yolo Plat have Lite version. They have the same benefits as their normal counterparts, just that if your income didn't meet the requirement, UOB will still issue you Lite version, but they won't tell you that! Even online banking and UOB website don't have any info about this! I have called to upgrade my Yolo Lite Plat to normal Plat just now. So yeah, you have been warned.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 11 2016, 09:03 AM)
Well, then your card also has Plat wording despite it was a Lite version? Like seriously, how would I know if they give me a Lite or Plat version? If everything and at online banking show the same thing? How's this logical? Even though my income requirement already exceeded the minimum requirement, does this automatically qualify me for Plat? I didn't update them any income documents when I applied YOLO, I hope they will just refer back to my VOX's application documents which was already more than 36k per annum. So, if they really give me one Lite version, be prepared for my complaint. tongue.gif
*
Yolo Plat has 2 version, Lite and normal. So every Yolo card will have a Plat wording on the card, just that you won't know whether it is a Lite version or not.

If your income record in UOB system is more than RM36k when you converted or applied Yolo, then it is safe to say yours is normal Plat. Lite Plat will only be issued if system determines that you are not qualified for the card.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Nov 11 2016, 09:12 AM)
good info

guess this is their measure to prevent ppl abusing the cashback in year 1 (af waived), then terminate before anniversary.

problem is they didn't tell upfront of such segregation between lite and normal plat.
*
Yup, couldn't find any info about it anywhere. Problem is all the CS are aware of the existence of Lite version of CC. That's what pisses me off.

QUOTE(lootservice @ Nov 11 2016, 09:44 AM)
how do we know what we got instead of calling CS?
*
Calling CS is the fastest. If not you can email them to ask. Even internet banking and statement won't tell you that.

Just call cs to confirm my Yolo card is the normal platinum not lite version.
So, confirm 1st year AF waiver and 2nd year onwards waiver subject to bank approval.
*
Yes, see? This is what I am talking about. Everyone in UOB knew about this yet we don't. Kinda shaddy don't you think?

not shady.

just now uob called me to apply YOLO without submitting document. playback t&c. then agreed to process.

i asked about YOLO Lite. it seems this lite is only available internal for sales team (more like upsell campaign) for those not eligible to meet min annual income. this explains why general comm doesn't mention YOLO Lite.

anyway, mine would be standard YOLO. year 1 af free. year 2 call in to request for af waiver.
*
Mine is Lite, but never did I hear about that term throughout my application. Yeah not shady, it's straight up cheating. If my Yolo is not converted to normal Plat then I will bring this up to BNM.

Do you know if there is any expiry date? I also just received two free GSC tickets vouchers from company, now I have 4 and plan to treat my family to watch during CNY or something. The vouchers are expiring in Feb 2017, not sure about YOLO's ones.

Just that their staff is not train well, until we as customer need to show them for promotion
Probably the one you went is not entitled for this promotion.

So far I checked few of it around my area are entitled.

From this list, Tesco Kepong (No. 20) is entitled for B1F1. Maybe you can show this to the staff? Anyway I always redeem Chatime drinks (Bpoints or voucher) so I hardly buy nowadays.

Hi,

Receive letter from UOB about CreditShield Plus.

The letter starts with "Please allow us to congratulate you on your recent decision to purchase the above policy..."

I receive call from UOB last week about this but I never agree to 'purchase' the policy.

Few questions I have in mind about it:
1) Is it necessary?
2) Is it free?
3) How can I cancel the policy?

Thanks in advance.
*
1. No
2. No
3. Call CS to cancel.
