My wife is in her early 40s and got pregnant recently (first child) . Due to the age factor, few gynaes suggested NICC test to detect Down Syndrome.. claiming 99% accuracy..I didn't like the idea but my wife wanted it..so we paid RM2500 at UMSC and waiting for 2 weeks..its gona be a nerve wrecking 2 weeks for me especially after reading this..

There is a possibility that the baby could be normal..What if we made the wrong decision? Biggest mistake was to do that bloody test..  p:s: Did not show my wife the article and don't intend to.. Any experience anyone? |

This test is like the in-thing now for above 40 ladies..higher accuracy than other tests

sorry guys..didnt update..baby didnt make it..miscarriage in the 4th month..after so many tests, docs couldnt tell whats the reason..we have been trying almost a year..still no luck

We are hoping to get by next year..if no, no problem..dont want to build unnecessary pressure on her as shes in her early 40s already..
