Malay wedding angpow how much to give?

So my Malay friend (i supper with him at least once a month) since the past .. say 10 years... finally getting married at 37 y.o . He memang lone ranger and otaku type... finally managed to find a nice girl that suits him and finally settle down.. his first GF... before that all the while only jackoff to porn online only la.
So if i solo go to his wedding and give RM388 angpow for his wedding ok ka ... since quite close la..
Or is it too little? Don't wanna be so cheapo cos i know he's gonna be quite tight as he's moving out of his house after purchasing a RM800K property.

Depends his wedding high keras or not, ur relation with him and your financial status. If you are rich as fark, ppls will say u kedekut sial even u give RM888 angpow

5 ringgit is enough. Put in the sampul/angpow... at the kenduri, you salam/shakehand with the host(usually the father).. put the angpow in your hand while 'shakinghand'.. the host will take that angpow(salam kaut)
