This tered aim at hosting and join Spotify Family plan.

Instead of RM14.90 per month (1user), you're paying RM22.40 per month for up to 1+5 family members. (per group)

Each Host are highly advised to ask for 5 months-subcription (Rm20 /per user/5months), at MINIMUM, to reduce the hassle of monthly burdent.

What is Family Plan?

- for security measure, new acc created are NOT ALLOWED to host a group within /k. Sorry, i had to๐Ÿ˜„
- one payer and primary account holder, 5 subsidiary accounts
- Everyone Acc is separated, One bill, CHEAPER.
- sub-acc(s) are registered through their i)Spotify-acc email given to the Host or ii) unique invite link given by Host.

Been using same method for last 2 years.
No offline strea m and cap at 128kbps streaming quality.

Those extreme streaming quality unlocked didn't work once I've made calculation. It's server-locked/acc-tie feature

Not sure about benefit, but you must be logged in from IP of the country in your address.

I reg my acc using US IP. Didnt put any extra info.Serious fakap. Now my address fixed to postcode in Seattle where my VPN server reside.
Can only change billing address, but not the postcode.

Now I relocate my server to SG, they still demand me to log in from US.

There's no hardware limitation, this plan are meant to be paid by one prime payer for 6 different acc. Nothin more or less tongue.gif

The used and played the same spotify premium acc.

Not sure, is it for the 1st time or not. Do note, all current promo price at rm24.90. And credit handling is informed later, at the end of months.

sory i was mistaken, i just read it again and recount my monthly recycle date .. actually the host will benefit from this if the sub user have remaining balance of premium days it will average out among 6 members. and result the billing cycle of the family plan will bring forward.

in example, host no premium but sub got 6 days remaining premium then 6 divide by 6 equal to 1 days.. when host sub for family premium the billing cycle will be +1 days, 31 instead of 30 for the first month.

i just calculate mine, its correct.

With proper gear (and good record), 128kbps and 320kbps is obviously different, in tonal execution, micro details, with sounds reaching deep in low region (percussion heard even on low sound). I've been using mod apk too since last 2years..back when xposed module were not that advanced yet.

Fyi, file bitrate are now double the quality. On some track, the execution on high and low sounds more prominent-out of my gear setup tongue.gif

On the other note, I can now save some discovered playist for offline purpose, running mode works great Online!!!

Trust me, best rm20+ I've ever made this year. ๐Ÿ˜

Yup, one of the Premium perk is having the track and Playlist downloaded for offline purpose.

Nah, all downloaded Acc can be played ONLY through the Spotify client. They're encrypted, so you can't transfer the track to the other devices.

Unless you have mp3/ DAP with android based system, you may install Spotify and enjoy it through.

There's normal, high, and extreme quality preset separated for Streaming and Offline

It's no less than 100mb per week, with used of normal quality on 5 hours streaming, daily, per week.

My advice is to have extreme quality for offline playlist, and high or normal on streaming purpose.

This pricing has just started last May, Worldwide..

Price wise, handing rm200+ per group at total doesn't look healthy. Having this group intend as scammer pothole are last thing I'd like to witness.

I prefer shorter term period just in case Spotify decided to change the rate or their T&C so it would be easier for the host and the subs to readjust accordingly. Cause to me it would be better to have this sort of 'contract' even if the sub decided to cancel half way, it would be better if the actual termination happen after the end of this shorter 'contract' period, shorter period, so it won't be much hassle for the sub and the host to make new arrangement.

i was supposed to join samcjh88 yesterday but I replied his message bit late hence all his lots have been taken over. my bad.

Before initiating this tered, I've seen numerous reddit wtfindgroup with very same intention beforehand. It was between several part of US and Europe user.

Imo, there's no geolocation-restriction yet between Acc device under same plan. I've seen the same inquiry-post (in disguised of abroad study) last year in spotify support forum too.

Though be wary, there's still a risk of furtherrestrictioninfuture๐Ÿ˜„

I have just unsubscribed from Maxis Spotify, but my Spotify Still says Premium - refer to provider..bla bla..

i even received confirmation from maxis to say i have unsubscribed and my spotify premium will be valid until 14 nov only

Even with the invite link for family plan- it wont allow me to subscribe to the family plan

any ideas.. thanks in advance

Have you revoke your premium manually in account setting yet?

my group is actually paying the rm22.40 and the host is actually gracious enough not to upsell the whole package. And I believe the whole members paid rm22.40 for six months upfront.
It's all about give and take. I also dont see a reason to increase the price.
If you're saying being a host is hard, sweat.gif
just collect rm22.40 from your five members and it will auto deduct from your account monthly. How hard can that be?

dwin95 just host one if you feel there's injustice in the pricing.

Hey, thanks for pointing that out. I will clarify that the 120 was a definite typo though. Haha.

Also, I've updated my post and included a half year option.

I agree that it may seem suspicious, but as a host already sharing an address, I don't want a situation where we must chase payments.

Regarding Google Play Music, it's not that hard, try an Google how to make your play store the US version. ( If you can see apps like Hulu, Google Opinion Rewards etc, then you have).

Failing to do that, feel free to PM me for help.
I singed up the day after they announced it so I even got it at $7.99 /mth instead of $9.99 /mth. Though I'm on their family plan now for $14.99 /mth

Website say RM22.40 for 6 members if you divide it its RM3.73 per month each x 6 months = RM22.38

So you take RM22.40 x 6months its RM134.40 = 6 members its RM22.40

So there is an extra 7.60 a month

So if collect RM30 from each person x 6 months = RM180 - RM134.40 = so the host earn RM46 within that 6 months. So we use each month RM3.73 x 6 months = its only RM22.40 = So indirectly the host have free spotify usage while the host request you to bank in first.

Is that suppose to be that way?

no problem just want to make it clear. if buyer willing to pay its fine but some ppl think it already cheap but didnt know they been cheated as well. If they indicate as a host they want to use free is fine because i see everyone offering RM30 for 6months.

since so many selling at over price i decide to get the free 3months first.

Bloody hell 24.95 / 6 members

RM4.15 per person x 6months = RM24.90

Host request us to pay RM30 - 24.90 = RM5.10 Host makes from per person

Host earn RM 5.10 per person x 6 months = RM30.60

So indirectly the host have free spotify usage paid by hosting without informing

Its not about saving or not.

Its about host cheating free spotify by hosting.

Saving is another story and cheating is another.

I leak how host cheat then u say host care-taking gesture and saving then become win2 situation because cheating.


If so called US aware then i wont be able to break your cheat right.

Hosts put the price up front and no one is forcing anyone to sign up the plan.You want, you come. You don't want, it is fine.

No one inform? Come on, you expect the hosts to hold your hand and guide you through the Spotify's website (which is accessible by all people with Internet) and tell you the default price? sweat.gif do your own research la dei

Besides that, host have to reply all the PM, send the link, guide the subscribers how to sign up, handle issues and etc. You think the hosts are that free? Charging a bit more for the works they put in also consider as wrong?

Stop butthurting yourself. If you think that charging a bit more is so called "cheating", then by all means, be a host yourself and charge the default price biggrin.gif

We are all aware of the cost and the so-called 'profit' the hosters are making. So what? RM5 extra for 6mths... big deal. That's 85sen per month... 85sen!

If they're gonna make fast money, hosting spotify family account won't guarantee them a BMW by end of next year. Al little effort on their part is worth a lil sum of money. Kira sedekah sudahlah. Jangan berkira sangat. Orang mau tolong host pun sudah cukup baik.

Talking about hosting, anyone up for Deezer family account sharing, pls PM me. Not really into Spotify right now.

p/s: oh, btw, those claiming hosters of overcharging... how about u guys start hosting at the exact amount of RM22.40 for 6 months. jgn tau komplen saja, buatla.

but if i jus play playlist like : Top Hits Malaysia by spotify (i not download this playlist, jus play it using data)
and my fren play Good Morning Playlist (using data too)
