does your gopro store videos in an SD card? if yes, try the lightning to sd card camera reader. videos will transfer at usb2 speeds. if you want faster via usb 3, use 13-inch pad pro.

The more popular USB OTG flash drives you can used are Sandisk i-xpand drive...Since beginning this year many other types available too. Just google it
This Sandisk is very expensive - I paid nearly US$100 ( 64GB)  last year but now now averaging US$70-80, maybe cheaper at ebay. There is now a newer version up few months back
The major disadvantage of this :

1. Is very much slower - I guessestimate it to be at least 2X slower copying files onto it and transferring to the iPhone
2. You need to install the i-xpand app and all files can only be copied over to a single folder My Downloads on the iphone. You cannot copy files to any specific folder of your choice
You will need to Launch the app to access your copied files
