Since then i reflowed it with heat gun by blowing it @ 210Degrees celsius
But why every month i need to reflow it as it will cause artifacts again.
Is that a longer fix tho..
Thanks sifu.
GPU Reflow with heat gun every month.

Ok, not a GPU expert here, but have done a bit of soldering.
Why does it need re-balling? Solder joints can go bad on GPU's? |

But these are very small solder on PCB.. very hard to solder unless got tool lo..Have replaced leaking capacitors on the motherboard and inside power supplies, including those 2 big ones with big microfarad numbers, and have never heard of reballing. QUOTE(howszat @ Oct 6 2016, 10:17 PM) ok... Usually you need a special tool to do it. The space between contact point is too near to be solder by hand. It is almost impossible to do by hand those specialised area (area which have 100 contact point near to each other).Have replaced leaking capacitors on the motherboard and inside power supplies, including those 2 big ones with big microfarad numbers, and have never heard of reballing. Not a gamer obviously, but hey, my soldering skill is quite good. |

QUOTE(kueckcinx @ Oct 6 2016, 10:46 PM) My Taiyo(?) soldering iron with a sharp narrow point can do that. If heat is not enough, you can press a button to get more. Not easy, takes practice. If soldering on a circuit board was your hobby in electronics, it helps. PS: To be clear, I was referring to discrete components, capacitors, resistors, etc, and NOT the tiny connections from the integrated chips.
