weird, how they test their phone while it is still in development?

SME finally announced the refund/exchange/compensation plan.

Some owners are not satisfied, some said just accept it and move on. Hence arguments.

Some owners are planning to do a complaint campaign to push SME to give them a better compensation/alternative choice.

This is not only a huge lost for Samsung and consumers, but imagine all the case and accessories manufacturers who have manufactured accessories for the Note 7 such as cases and SP, they're gonna lose who huge load of money too.

unlikely. it's like suing the hand that feeds you.

you may sue as is your right but the consequences of doing so will alienate you from doing business with them anymore. understand that for accessories industry, you need inside knowledge to build the right spec and know the right final product details.

otherwise you lose business when you get the spec out late and your competitors already produce plentiful accessories that is right spec and well tested.

Pity those that bought for RM3,199 from people who got it during the pre-order promo. Now, they can only get back RM2,800. Lost about RM400 for nothing.

can say that for accessories business, 99.9% you eat the losses and move forward. it's part and parcel when doing such business.

but you need to understand another thing, for accessories businesses, this note 7 debacle will not end them. as long as they did spread their product selections all around to cover other smartphones they are not enough bothered by this.

I think I know what is happening to their phone. there is 1 time (previous) my phone hang where I keep charging with my wireless fast charge. the phone hang & charged so hot until want to explode. luckily I manage to remove from the phone from charger and throw outside my house.

the root cause come from those phone having bootloop issue. if the phone hang/bootloop and protection circuit doesn't work, the battery will continue to charge until explode. it's either motherboard fault or something link to charging doesn't work correctly.

well it's just my 2 cents.

If we refuse for refund or exchange n just use the phone as usual, is there any possibility samsung will continue the support on latest update of note 7 such as android nougat?

Some free advice for Samsung:
1 Offer full refund or S7 Edge at RM 1,500
2 Let customer keep the free items that Samsung knows are safe

Full refund is for people who want to stay away from Samsung.
Cheaper S7 edge is for people who want to stick it out and get some compensation for the things they bought and time they've spent.

Replicate worldwide to turn your PR disaster into something good.

Why should Samsung be responsible for the risk they take? This is business world, not some kind of kiddy world.

Went all the way to Blue Cube Publika since I was told by Blue Cube Online Customer Service that I can get a swap or refund today. Turns out the staff provided me the wrong information. I obviously raised hell and tried pressuring the guy at the counter. Long story short, I think users who bought from Telco will need to wait until 19th.
