Exactly. Samsung will likely refund RM2,879.10. But I bet most buyers are having wishful thinking to get RM3,199 from Samsung (the official RRP price) to compensate for their time wasted, etc.

SME has not mentioned a word on compensation. This will anger every owner. I dare speculate that every owner had spent a minimum of rm200 on accessories for Note 7, which is now rendered useless. Owners will also not forget the cheap sp given out during the first exchange. The screen warranty is of no value now (and no cost to SME). Samsung's reputation in Malaysia is further damaged by the useless SME team which is ultra slow in response and ultra stingy when handling this issue.

I suggest we create a WhatsApp group to gather everyone and also a FB Group to move a one big group.

In its home country of South Korea, Samsung is offering a coupon worth the equivalent of $30 USD to those who return their Galaxy Note 7 back to the manufacturer. If the Galaxy Note 7 is exchanged for another high-end Samsung phone, the consumer is given another coupon valued at the equivalent of $61.25 USD.
