For mozilla firefox:

First go to http://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/59/

Click Install Now to install addon.

Restart FireFox. Tool-->User Agent Switcher--->Options--->Options

Click User Agents--->Add

Type this:

+ Description: MEGAUPLOAD

+ User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; Alexa Toolbar)

Click OK twice to finish adding User Agent.

From now, before downloading any file on megaupload just go Tools--> User Agent Switcher--->MEGAUPLOAD.

For IE:

Start/run->> type regedit -> ok

Go to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform]

Note: if U use IE 7

go to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform]

Right click on Post Platform > New > String Value > type Alexa Toolbar > ok

Now U can download from megaupload without error

rclxub.gif Guys, I've just found a J-Drama website that enables direct download but via MegaUpload, but the d/load slots are always in use. Instead, now they have a mega upload toolbar that we can install so there'll be no more d/load limititations.

So.. is it safe?

I've also recently found a long lost anime movie but it also require d/load from MegaUpload. (T_T). If it's safe, then I'll install it.

Added on March 17, 2007, 9:38 amWhoo whoo... I've just checked around and thought I ought to let you guys know.

Don't download the MegaUpload toolbar. It has a spyware agent hidden inside there and bloody difficult to remove. So, guys, DON'T download it ya.

Lucky found a forum where the guy reported about it.

*kisses anime movie goodbye* (T_T)

If you are using firefox, then you can try this

1) Type about:config into the address bar
2) Then type general.useragent.extra.firefox into the filter bar
3) Double click it and change the value into Firefox/2.0.0.2 MEGAUPLOAD 1.0

Hope it helps. smile.gif

Well that's true. You can't bypass the download limit though, they are server sided. I love darjana's method by the way, been using it for ages.

I guess most spywares and viruses are able to bypass norton (or norton is not able to detect most viruses from the start), and it slows down ur comp like hell. U should changed it into something better.

since megarotic and megaupload are basically the same i would say that this should work the same for both.
since there were many suggestions before this about using agent switcher, ALL said that it works for both sites smile.gif

recently i got a new problem with megaupload, not sure does anybody else got or not.
Everytime i start a download, i mean after bypass the limit, the download won't start, it will eventually stay there until the file name become index.html something like that, then no matter how many time i try to download, the download also won't start.

change the extension of the file that you download to the original extension
exp: if the file you download is .rar file den after you download just change the index.html to index.rar

sometimes i also faced similar probs, but only if i paste the link in DL manager
but most of the time the links work fine

anyway i already uninstall the toolbar and using the user switcher agent thingy instead.

that's not what i mean, i mean is after the file name changing, it didn't download anything from the original link, & it will download the html file which is just a few kb file.
