You use USD to purchase goods priced in AU$. You still got charged 1%. With Bigpay, I think they don't charge when you use your RM to buy AU$ |

But if you already have AUD credit in your wallet, & u buy things in AUD, then u wont be charged. This is my guess only, which need to be verified. |

Hi, want to ask, I going to Australia end of this month, so if I swipe my visa CC there, they charge me visa's conversion rate + 1%?
Edit: its 2.25% instead of 1% by Visa for Maybank?

Any inconvenience is much regretted. Kindly be informed that you may use your credit card immediately in overseas. No activation is required.
Please be informed for credit card usage via the overseas online website or overseas, there will be additional charge 2.25% (VISA and Mastercard) on top of the purchase while for AMEX card will be 2.5% on top of the purchase amount.
The conversion rate is based on Visa/Master International currency rates. The calculation will follow the currency rate on the day the merchant made the claim with Maybank.
