Quite interested on the p6n diamond with x-fi sound chip. Some online sources say that it will be even be cheaper as compare to asus striker. Nice board from msi. The platinum and sli would be good for those which still on pata drive as it comes with 2 ide connectors

But from what i can c from d picture d P6N Diamond juz equip with a 4-phase voltage regulator system... Is that more than enough for heavy overclock purpose?

Well I myself cant provide you an answer for it since there still no review for it yet. But from windwithme review on the p6n platinum, the board is capable of hitting 450fsb in which I think is enough for normal overclocking usage. Lets wait till more review available and see what this mobo capable of. But for the meantime, its quite interesting with all the thing it offers.

Interesting! Can't wait to see the benchmarking comparision between P6N Diamond and Striker Extreme! I think overclock expert around d world sure can't wait to bench'em out! Also what the true existing value of 8-phase voltage regulator lie... sweat.gif

guys hope i can clear some of your doubts...

P6N Diamond is using n680i chipset
- build in X-Fi sound blaster chip (first board with highend build-in sound chip)
- 4 PCIE x16 (striker extreme only 3 PCIE x16)
- Could be able to overclock more than 500mhz fsb since n650i hit 500mhz
- Full solid capasitors except capasitor for sound processing.(in some reviews found out polymer capasitor is better for sound)

P6N Platinum is using n650i chipset
- Full solid capasitors
- Heatpipe northbridge-southbridge-mosfet cooler with fan (fan could be optional)
- 2 PATA (this is what i want)
- Capable of doing fsb overclock to 500mhz (instead of 450mhz)

P6N Fi is using n650i chipset
- Normal polymer capasitors
- 2 PATA
- witout e-sata port
- normal chipset cooler
