Around 1-2Mbps, office location in Mergong, but most of the time LTE is unstable, especially in a moving vehicle I'd be getting signal lost all the damn time.Webe Thread V2, Webe Fans Club & Enquiry

QUOTE(rikimtasu @ Oct 23 2016, 08:08 PM) Neat to know that.Hope 4G actually got stable after this,it is kind of silly to use a unlimited celcom line that isn't under celcom. Webe is still a new telco, so I'd give em time. If the situation is still the same after 9 months I'll probably terminate mine because its been hit or miss lately, especially last week I've been getting bad signals all the time |

I ask a webe customer service rep can i MNP a digi number to my current webe number? He said yes but then direct me to register another number and said when choosing the phone number just enter the number i wish to MNP. I said i only want 1, not 2 webe number. Explaining this to him waste 45 minutes of my life. He later told me it cannot be done, only can register a new number and later terminate the first acc. Seems too much work though for MNP process

Webe probably just capped my download speed. Was downloading a couple of files earlier at 10mbps, now barely get 1mbps, while facebook, instagram and youtube all loads without issues

QUOTE(johnlth93 @ Oct 24 2016, 02:20 PM) It will be back to normal in awhile or next day. I already over 100G within 2 week of activation. Yes it kinda does slow down a while, include my last month usage is already over 300+GB of HD streaming + downloading. One HD movies already 4-6gb in size so do the math la hahaNow maybe 120G or more already |

QUOTE(mazhard @ Oct 26 2016, 12:25 PM) i dont think so ... their backbond is strong enough to give unlimited data ... even all unifi package has no quota .. and i still cant imagine how come you guys using more data on mobile compared to cable Dunno man, i downloaded a couple of files earlier at 12mbps speed, after exceeding 1gb my download speed drops to hell. Dunno if its server issue or webe throttling, but facebook and insta still loads fast though |

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Oct 26 2016, 03:17 PM) Basic rule in order to get webe sub-line rates is ALL sub-lines MUST be under one single uno myKad... that's the main culprit to get all outsiders to join the "scheme" ... unless, one only use webe for data/broadband alone (while calls, SMS and others maintain in current SIM/number), than having another number for webe registration is the "safe" route so far... This seems like the logical thing to do, but alas my nexus 6p has only one sim slot. I can't part with the awesome camera this lhone provide as well as those loud front speakers so i have to carry another phone (Oneplus 2) with me everytime and its a hassle carrying 2 phones at the same time tbh. I know the oneplus 2 is a dual sim phone, but the lackluster camera and no fast charge really kills it for me.so i will resume my ways of carrying 2 phones for now, don't want to terminate or mnp my primary number just yet for nowTherefore, dual-SIM certified phone is the optimum option. If carrying two phones in the pocket is viable, that will be better as well...good for those using Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (Malaysia variant or AP set flashed to Global ROM). The optimum combo : Current number = SIM 1 = MNP to Umobile U28 package (the cheapest...and NO CONTRACT....) or MNP to other PREPAID service that offer lifetime / long-life "active" without top-up. This will ensure TAC, 2-step verification codes is received properly. Also, all ur current contact still can get in touch without worrying u will lose this number in the future. webe number = SIM 2 = "the scheme". In example above, both SIMs wil be inside Redmi Note 3 Pro SIM tray. No need to physically swap the SIM. All inside android/MIUI settings. This is currently what I have now in my Galaxy Note5. All in all, the bottom figure is higher in long run because need to maintain 2 SIMs for whole life...LOL.. So, act wisely and cautiously... |

Seriously though with new digi and celcom plans, do we even need webe at this point? Celcom offers up to 40GB of data which is alot, and much faster + stable + reliable internet speed and connection. Can't say the same for webe, the only good thing is that it's unlimited nature but the internet is slow even on 4G (barely 5-6Mbps), network instability (frequent lost connection to the network, reconnecting took 2 minutes!). Today i went to Penang, and have network disconnect issues 4 times, and im not even on a moving car or remote location, the signal just disappeared and i have to wait 2 minutes for it to get back up.
Unlimited data is nice, but poor network performance is another issue. Do i really need all this unlimited data? I downloaded tons of movies up to 350+GB worth of size but barely have time to watch all of em. So maybe unlimited data is not what i want, i barely call anyone because i use my work phone for that, and can't remember the last time I sms someone so unlimited sms means squat to me. Umobile provides unlimited video streaming caught my attention, as well as celcom 40GB a month plan sounds like the right plan. My work phone uses celcom, even on 3G i constantly get 12-16Mbps, and Digi LTE on my second phone can achieve 40-50Mbps. Their internet speed is blazing fast, while webe is slow like a snail, and my area is already congested heavily, now even at 1.45am my speed test barely gets me half of 1Mbps, a far cry from the speed i used to enjoy two months ago. All in all, if you can tolerate slow and unstable network, as well as having a bit of patience, then webe would be a good fit. That's webe in a nutshell for me. QUOTE(sentlon @ Oct 30 2016, 07:13 PM) Well thats just what my overall experience so far. Today went cruising around town and still suffer one disconnect/lose signal suddenly and would took a heck of a long time to reconnect to the network. Since webe is still fairly new I'm willing to give it a pass for now but for how long? Like my closing statement, if you have a lot of patience and don't mind fairly slow internet/ lose network connection, then its perfect for you |
