anyone applied for a maybank credit card and received it recently? how long did you have to wait before the card was delivered?

my card was approved last friday and when i called to check the delivery status today, they said it's still being processed and still not ready for delivery.
*
I applied last week on M2U website & received it yesterday. Not sure if it helps but I'm in Penang.

update: branch's contact number doesn't work. so don't know where is my card now.
*
That's the frustrating thing about Maybank branch phone numbers. They usually have a couple of them & only a few of them will be reachable on any single day.

You'll have to try all the numbers until one of them can be reached through.

Do u mean if today i use non maybank terminal to buy RM 1000 stuff, then at September cash back statement, I will get RM 100?
*
If today you use non-Maybank terminal to spend RM500, then you would have fulfilled September's RM50 cashback.

What is my chance if i use M2U with my FCB to make payment for my UNIFI let's say by 11.45pm tonight. Will i be having chance for this transaction to be posted by tomorrow?

BTW, I have max out my Aug CB quota.
*
IIRC if you pay on M2U website, it gets posted immediately. I agreed with the others that it's too risky to try it now. Just defer it to tomorrow to secure your cashback.

Hi All,

I use Barcelona VS for a single purchase of RM2500 and the merchant is able to convert it to 12 month 0% installment basis and I have chosen for this option.

May I know does it mean I already use up the max capacity for November and will entitle for RM50 full cashback OR I don't get any cash back due to convert to installment?

Thanks
*
Based on my experience with Lazada, you've used the max capacity for November.

which means spend 5000 in April's calendar month to received RM100 (2%) CB on 1st May
then spend 1000 in May's calendar month to received RM100 (10%) CB on 1st of June?
*
No, the CB quote follows the month.

Spend RM1000 for May's RM100 CB. Then spend another RM500 on 31-MAY 11.45pm - 11.59pm to get June's RM50 CB as long as the RM500 transaction is posted on the next day.

Any idea how to identify a transaction as refund? I just received refund from Lazada yesterday but the transaction date was in November.

Will this actually impact my CB for December or it'll fall on November? If it's the latter, I believe it will not revoke my November CB since I paid >RM2500 prior to this purchase, right? hmm.gif

Somebody shared before that a refund will cause a adjustment to cash back right?
*
Yea, I remember that but since I've spent more than the required RM2.5K prior to the transaction that was later refunded, I thought it will not impact the November CB. hmm.gif

Total posted amount (including the refund) x 2% subject to Max RM50 or -RM50. So if you want to get RM50 CB for Dec, you need to spend RM2500 + refund amount to contract the. Refund, ie to spend RM4700 in Dec.
*
Thanks for the advice. RM2599 + RM2500 = RM5099 right?

Not sure how you get RM4700. biggrin.gif

OK, so you're saying it'll impact November CB instead of December? But for November, I've spent more than RM2.5K prior to the Lazada's RM2599 transaction. hmm.gif

OK, guess I'll chat with Maybank Twitter & see.

Not really ridiculous. Maybank keep their system simple and straightforward.
So if you know you will overspend in the following month, and if you have transactions reversed (cross-month), you will gain more CB, Maybank will not reverse the CB for the previous month.
*
OK, just got off a lengthy phone call with Maybank CS. She said that the Lazada refund of RM2599 shouldn't impact the CB eligibility for December. In the event I didn't get the CB for December after spending RM2.5K, I've to give them a call & they'll perform a manual reconciliation for me.

She actually had to pause the call 2 times to get clarification so I guess the best action on my end is just to spend RM2.5K. In the event that she was wrong, I'll just lose RM50 CB that I'm supposed to get. Gonna take her advice with a pinch of salt since I've learnt from this thread's SST topic that what CS said might not hold water in the long run. sweat.gif

Now we have Bigpay+Boost to do "adjustment", so the loss is RM5.20 only. But I don't understand why you used the card for Lazada transactions as you had already maxed out your CB quota. smile.gif
*
I believe I know what you meant when you said BigPay+Boost but not sure how you get the RM5.20 figure. Anyway, don't wanna go OOT so maybe that's not suitable to be discussed further.

The reason why I used Barca VS was due to 0% installment when paying using Maybank card. biggrin.gif I assumed that the CB will be done on monthly basis so I thought I'll only lose out the CB from the Nov installment while for the subsequent months, I no longer need to load BP with full RM2.5K.

Thanks to this thread further, it appears that the CB is calculated from the full amount so that's my mistake. sweat.gif

PSA: Just got back from having complete eye check-up at Optimax. The cost is RM360 but if you pay using Maybank card, it'll only be RM100 (RM260 discount).

Yea, I guess they didn't really bother updating their website. You can reach out to their FB page & ask if the promotion is still valid.
