Second card but zero credit history (I think)

Apply FCB Visa at The Garden at 10:20am and got the card at 1pm same day but the person say only on the next day can activate the card at M2U. I tried activate using phone same day, doesn't work.

wow.. that was quick, thinking shall I directly pay a visit there  hmm.gif
My past experience (applying the Ikhwan card) is that even fulfill the income requirement, tried the 'apply online' and physically went to bank and apply also got rejected, then 3rd time tried in TreatsFair event only got approved  sweat.gif

According to their phone CS Maybank2u very strict, very easy kena reject. but from my experience is the fastest. but also easily reject, then I went ahead with ringgit plus to apply then done.... just postlaju curi ayam

i think maybank less strict, i tried PB visa signature, annual income higher than the requirement, but reject for few times. Then i saw fcb, i apply via online, terus approve and increase my combined limit. Maybe because i long time Maybank customer and i have account with PB bank but kena froze becos no active lol..
*
Maybank definitely less strict compare to let say Citibank as well.

Was quoting the phone CS regarding m2u website registration is more strict compare to offline or let say ringgitplus. They say the M2U is automated or something, probably due to my low balance in my saving account 😅

I basically got rejected by Citibank clear card, then rejected by M2U Maybank 2 card, then applied via ringgit plus approved Maybank 2 card gold then apply FCB immediately and approved at the garden 😎

Need to re-submit documents or not if via mb2u? Last time I applied and got approved for 2cards at Gardens. So lazy to go through the whole process again  laugh.gif
Existing or new to Maybank? Have other cards with maybank? If existing, you need to fill in everything again and submit all docs?
Just asking since i read somewhere bring IC suffice for existing  flex.gif

if is for let say the garden, just give them IC and boom you get your card in same day... no form and stuff... maybe just write name and sign forget d

How to get the tracking code? They will send it to me via SMS? hmm.gif
*
yup they won't send, either you call CS or try their FB messenger. I found that the FB messenger is better. I call CS they say no tracking code, but send them message on FB they give me a call and give me the tracking code.

Rather than installment, better to pay full amount then immediately balance transfer 0% to some other bank.

I see interesting so I can have 2 credit card from different bank. Then I do full payment and do 0% Bt back and fort?

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Mar 1 2018, 09:33 AM)
Better you go to the balance transfer thread and ask. But basically if you spend one big-shot item (let's say RM4k for laptop) then after your statement date balance transfer (let's say 6-month to PBB or AEON) then it's as if you have 6 month installment on the item (and all other spending for that statement).

From MBB perspective you still get all your points/cashback as per usual.
*
QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 1 2018, 09:33 AM)
Provided that bank offers 0%. Head over to BT thread.
You don't need to do full payment, just transfer the outstanding to another bank which offers 0%.
*
QUOTE(cybpsych @ Mar 1 2018, 09:34 AM)
BT up to your available credit limit from the card. no limit to # of BT requests, except Aeon's BT every 6 months.

Since you have PBB card (not sure which), do you know they have FlexiPay 0% feature? it works like pseudo-BT by converting your transaction into installment, after purchase. go READ the Flexipay features.
*
Ok noted thanks sifus for your kind tips and advice smile.gif lol I don’t have PBB card yet just planning to get one
