Need to deduct some "processing fee" aka commission, which is usually more than credit card exchange rate + charges

usually quite fast.

My case was more than 2 weeks due to POSLAJU screwed up as usual.
*
When I applied 2-3 years ago, somehow Maybank posted out under my wife name (supp card, to my working address).
Worst part, poslaju only allowed my wife to receive or collect the letter herself.
End up I have to wait for the next Saturday, and we purposely drove all the way to poslaju for collection (good that they are open on Sat).

That's the only experience in recent years where you have to receive the credit card in person.
Some credit card just throw into your mailbox, by normal post.

The problem is top up for SSPN. Not repayment for PTPTN.
SSPN portal does not support credit card payment.  sweat.gif

Oh, SSPN can pay with jompay...
A good way to use your credit card, for those who need to hit certain spending amount to waive AF

No need so excited. SSPN Jompay does not accept credit card payment.  cry.gif  cry.gif

Have you tried?
As long as you have biller code, you can always use M2U - Jompay to make payment.
Isn't that Jompay always pay by CC regardless of biller code?
Nevertheless, will try out later.

Refer to below code biller = 73197

Found out accept current and saving account only.  doh.gif

That's too bad
Thought of finding a "loophole" to guarantee achieve 80k for M2P

Whichever date it start collecting still will have issue.. haha..

As I know, custom didn’t give clear guideline to banks too.. every bank write in to clarify but custom unable to provide a clear direction.

[Quote ]
16. Service tax shall be imposed on the date of issuance or renewal of the credit card or charge card or on every twelve months after the date the card is issued or renewed. [Quote ]

This statement is confusing.. it should only stated as every 12 months the card is issued. With the “or renewed” add on confusion, since if u put card issuance date as sst charge date, it will be 12 months period from a cardholder who hold the card, if follow expiry date, mbb will have problem where some cardholder hold less than 12 months or more than 12 months only get charge..
*
I believe "or renewed" is purposely added, probably after consulting bank representatives.
With the clause "or renewed", technically bank can charge us SST during our renewal with less than 12 months (following card expiry month).
This will give the bank more flexibility when dealing with SST.
Just my thought.

I paid to UTM skudai using PBB previously, tagged as goovernment
*
Wah, so many UTM (ex-)students here...
I had totally forgotten how I paid my school fees last time.
Deduction from ptptn??

UTM space should be their private wing, I guess likely fall under education.
Continue with BP is your best bet, else you try small amount with other cards as mentioned above.

i don't mind paying back the RM44 cashback, what i mean is whether i can spend RM1000 this month to get full cashback (RM56) or RM3200?

Search for "refund" under this thread.
Some interesting discussion from last year (2-3 separate incidents).

hi all, actually i just want to confirm if the transaction that i made are eligible for th 10% CB. i tried to ask , in the maybank2u , by filling up a request form. But there is no answer from mbb.
what is the alternative method besides making phone call to mbb?
*
Call CS, but due to mco, it might be very slow.
Perhaps asking here will get a faster reply.
Also can use search function.

i have checked the Maybank website info, it looks like these 3 are entitled for CB.
if anyone of you could help me to confirm (of course, based on your understanding), it would be very much appreciated.

dont have proof of income as a freelancer, just applied this cc with 10k fd pledge (fd rate 1.9)
have been using manu cc (worst cc ever) for decades, never redeemed the points and they expired.

could have saved 10k if i had this card earlier
*
MUVI is a point / reward card.
Barcelona is a cash back card.
Both are under different categories and targeting different users.

Sorry to know that you redeem nothing after using for so long.
You can potentially redeem something worth more than 10k (or even 50k) with the points you had collected.
It is one of the best CC available if you are into points.

The 10% cashback is based on transaction date right? doesn't matter if my credit card statement date is on 20th May or 12th May or 25th May, so long I make transaction with Barcelona card in May, it is entitled for 10%?
*
Yes, but make sure it is posted in May too.
Take note on those transaction on 30/31-May.

He is not talking about MUVI. Little known, there is a man utd entry level cc.

Oops, overlooked that one.
Still good for grocery (5TP) and during MU win.

For those entry level who would like into airmiles, you can pair this with KF Amex.
Nevertheless, now isn't a good time for airmiles tongue.gif

Just read your post on refunds as i had the same issue. How did yours go?

I bought something rm600 in April and got credited rm12 on may 1st.
However, i return the item for a refund. Refund was credited ard 10th May and i assumed *big mistake on my part* bangwall.gif that May rm100 cashback i'm eligible for will be 100-12= rm88.

Turns out they seem to calculate the refund as a deduction of my May transactions. So for my case, with the refund credited in May, i owed Maybank RM60 instead of RM12 which i assumed earlier  sad.gif .
I spent more than 1k in May but only received RM70+ for cashback. Did not utlise the cb fully.  mad.gif bangwall.gif
I haven't contacted Maybank to clairfy but the amount i calculated is pretty close to the one i explained. Would be great if someone could confirm this is correct.  smile.gif
*
For RM600 refund, it is quite straightforward.
Maybank system auto generate net spending in May.
Assuming you spend RM1300, deduct refund RM600, net spend RM700, give you CB RM70.
Nevertheless, try to appeal from CS to deduct RM12 instead of RM60, do feedback us the outcome.

We are actually more interested in Victor's RM2200.
It is a good case study.
We would like to know whether need to spend RM3200 only entitled for max CB.

i checked online, seems like if the value of the item + shipping charge more than rm500 already need to pay tax? that's low amount for tax free.
i see. ok. thanks.

besides, this one is not preorder.
i see. visa or mastercard normally gives lower charge?
*
Yes, you need to pay SST for item + SHIPPING above RM500.
Yup, RM500 is a very low amount.
Besides, there is a chart to determine your shipping cost (I can't remember the rate and lazy to dig).
Ie. RM500 item, min shipping cost is RM100 from USA, if your declared shipping is less than RM100, customs will "top up" for you and you need to pay more SST.
Worst for those getting free shipping, try to beg shipper to separate out shipping cost for you (but most of the time they won't entertain you).
Similarly, customs will just top up additional, ie. RM100 as shipping cost, regardless how you explain to them.

Bigpay is the best bet for now, no extra fee.
Ambank WMC is also known to charge only 1% (Maybank is charging 2.25%; Amex 2.5%)
Always pay in local currency (USD in your case, don't pay in MYR).
Visa or M/C, usually their rate is quite close without significant difference.
It is determined by how much the bank charge us.

Good timing for MBB to remove May/Aug 10% as the football season is not kicking off in Aug this year. Valid excuse for them. Haha.

I guess MBB is going to terminate their sponsorship / partnership with Barcelona soon. Shopee card suddenly leapfrog above Barcelona.
