Correct me if I am wrong, let say my card was approved and received in Feb 2017, the annual fee will be charged either in Jan 2018 or Feb 2018, right?
It's free for the first year, so I'm guessing Feb 2019.Credit Cards Maybank Visa Signature + Barcelona Visa Signature

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 5 2017, 08:29 PM) Why 2019 and not 2018? Because how will they calculate if your expenses is above 50k when 2017 to 2018 is free? Easiest way to find out is to check with CS. I'm assuming they will charge in 2019 when they can monitor expenses made fr 2018 to 2019. I don't think they will charge in 2018 unless they expect you to call them 1 year later to waive AF charged 1 year ago... |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 5 2017, 10:37 PM) The 50k expenses need to be achieved within Feb 2017 to Jan 2018. Really? I remembered some of my cards previously gets AF charged after 1 year of activation and those didn't have any 1st year waiver. They must have changed then.. It's the same thing for those swipe 12x to waive AF. You have to swipe within one year to waive for following year. First year AF is free for the current year, in this VS' case it is supposedly charged the moment it's approved which is Feb 2017 but it's waived. |

QUOTE(Nerdyfred @ Apr 11 2017, 01:35 PM) Why you need to cancel your VS card when is Free-For-Life (Principal & Supplementary Cards) - First year annual fee waived & subsequent That sounds like PBB VS. years’ annual fee waiver is based on a minimum of 12 swipes over the preceding 12 months. MBB VS you have to spend min RM30k subsequent years for auto AF waiver. This post has been edited by Lego Warfare: Apr 11 2017, 01:41 PM |

The best combination now seems to be
M2C Amex (5% weekend CB, 5x points) Ambank WMC (unlimited PPL entry and RM1 : 1 airmiles overseas transactions) PBB VS (6% CB for Dining, Groceries, Online, 5x PPL Msia) All no AF except PBB which requires 12x swipes per year (should be no prob) |

Why not just M2C? 5% rebate on anything for Amex during weekend. Most if not all petrol stations accept Amex, including most groceries dept stores as well.
However capped at RM50 compared to VS. |

Annual Income: RM 48,000 per annum
Must be one of the lowest income requirements for a VS lol 1) 2% Cash back for all purchases all year long (except May and August) and capped at maximum of RM 50 per month. 2) 10% Cash back for all purchases made in the month of May (football season ends) and August (football season begins) and capped at maximum of RM 100 during the specified month. 3) E- statement - Auto enrolment 4) TreatsPoints is not eligible for this card Note: No cash back earned for EzyPay transactions I'll probably apply as well since there is no AF and 2% CB all year + 10% CB in May and August is awesome since there is no restriction. Basically CB for EVERYTHING. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 10 2017, 07:05 PM) The lowest I have ever seen and owned for VS level, even lower than my MBB Plat. Don't think there is any gift? Maybank hardly have any credit card promo gifts and so far didn't see anything in their website either I was thinking to apply online but phobia with MBB messing up with my card delivery issue again, so straight walked in to The Gardens card centre. Don't know what gift they will give if apply online. |

Had time so went to 1U concourse for MBB FCB roadshow.
Their instant approval and free lee cooper sunglasses worth RM300 (condition you spend RM100) is only for new customers until this Sunday. Even their instant approval only for new customers. In the end I just headed to their Setvice Centre instead =.= They have another promo of taking your picture, hashtag in FB/Insta to get a free glass sweet holder. Looks like it can be used as an ashtray too lol |

Yay, my FCB VS has been approved. Already linked to my M2U account, but haven't receive any call for notification or collection though
I already roughly planned mine according to ranking: 1) MBB Amex: All expenses if accepted 2) PBB VS: All dining, online, grocery for non Amex merchants 3) MBB FCB VS: All non Amex merchants after CB cap depleted for 2) (With exception for May & August it'll rise up to rank 1 for splurge expenses lol) 4) AMB VS: Only for Starbucks lol This post has been edited by Lego Warfare: Oct 11 2017, 03:43 PM |

QUOTE(SzeMeng76 @ Oct 11 2017, 03:55 PM) Should be anytime now since you applied just after me lolQUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 11 2017, 03:57 PM) Yep mainly for the 5x TP lol (trying to spend of weekend for 5% additional CB is an added bonus)But depends on how much is your expenses in the month? the 5x TP has no cap unlike 2% CB with RM50 cap. RM2,500 to get RM50 CB with FCB VS while Amex gives around RM31.25 (if using 40k points = rm100). But if I spend RM5,000 I get RM62.50 equivalent. Have 810k TP points now plus numerous RM50 CB over the past 3 years, still my number 1 rank card in terms of benefits received lol. Trying to get more TP to convert to Krisflyer points, one of the main reason also for sticking with Amex |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 11 2017, 04:19 PM) Different purpose. I will prefer cash back over points. Haha not necessary need to convert to air miles, but there are many merchants that accepts TP conversion to cash though. After all, I hardly travel on my own usually combine with business trips which are paid by company. Just that I find point conversion to air miles have more value especially if you are able to save enough to redeem business class lol |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 11 2017, 04:42 PM) I'm sure you are able to sell them Or you can just use them at retail outlets as TP to cash conversion? They have so many choices from IT stuffs to Furniture, Jewelry, Accessories, Clothes, etc. https://www.maybank2u.com.my/WebBank/OTS-outlet.pdf |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 11 2017, 04:49 PM) Well, I redeemed from Harvey Norman too. Anyway, to conclude for my case, TP doesn't seem to be priority. Got it, cash is king There are willing cash buyers for your TP, including me next time lol On a side note, my FCB VS came with some scratches on it O.o Being so glossy doesn't help at all... |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 11 2017, 05:30 PM) Yes, very obvious scratches... oh well, will get a replacement after 3 years expiry lol QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Oct 11 2017, 06:47 PM) Same, applied at 1U branch yesterday, still processing. I guess many people applied first few days, so quite overwhelming application for the approval team. Shouldn't take that long though.. I applied today at 1U branch at 11am and ready to collect before 4pm. |
