I experienced thru Both Amex2premier n Visa Infinite card.

My card applied in Sep (not sure in Sep or Oct). The Amex2Premier n at the same time VI card too. I ensure from Sep to Aug i spent enough 80k n 50k for both card. So no annual fees charged to me in Sep or Oct or Nov n Dec bill. Then in January bill. Came the annual fee for both Amex2P n VI. I called to CS to ask only i know that they follow calendar year instead of card anniversary. So i asked them to cancel n if cannot waived. They really cancel it. So i left with the MU VI with me now.

Got to go thru all the trouble to re register those insurance etc auto debit.
*
I can confirm that that my AF was charged on anniversary date. I got an email from Maybank stating it in black and white. Pretty sure it's not a mistake from Maybank as they were responding to my complaint to Bank Negara. But that was more than 2 years ago and I have cancelled my card since.

May be inconsistent practise. So funny.

I was pretty upset as need to cancel the Amex2P card as i was in the midst of building my Enrich miles to redeem business class ticket for my family holiday.  The annual fee saved can used to compensate the ticket price also. Was thinking to re apply the card back after 6 months but too lazy to apply for it.
*
Yes, very inconsistent. That was the reason I complained to Bank Negara because I get 3 different answers initially.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 9 2018, 04:31 PM)
Well, technically yes. The expiry date embossed on the VS is the same as my M2Cards.
*
That is correct. In other words, it follows your first card anniversary date.

I already spend rm1000 on my FCB card to purchase a tv at 2Aug.
then i travel to australia and bought speaker using CASH. when i getting tax return, they ask for a credit card and i hand over the FCB for rm350 tax return.

Question : does the rm350 will reduce my total spending of rm1000 on FCB therefore reduce the Cashback as well? the tax refund item was purchased by CASH not FCB
*
My understanding is NO as different merchants.

Yes it will deduct your CB. It happened to me last NOV when i got tax refund from global blue (Netherland).
Called and reported to MBB CS and they aware of the issue, but they didn’t refund it for me. Followed up 5 or 6 times and gave up, my affected CB amount was less than rm10 though.
*
The refund and purchase belongs to the same item?

The global blue is tax refund (as foreigner enjoy free tax shopping) from overseas. Not refund from the merchant.
There is nothing relate to purchase and refund.
Items was paid by cash in Europe. When declaration at custom, u can either choose cash or credit card for tax refund. I choose to refund to FCB, so this is the consequences. Should have pick other non CB card sad.gif
*
I know, i meant whether did you make the overseas purchase using the same CC.
It that case, MBB is wrong to deduct the CB.

The thing is i made report to MBB and the CS also understood their system deduct wrongly. Escalated but no news. Lazy to chase them for that small amount of CB.

Yeah, Maybank is like that. Thanks for sharing this info.

you are unsure whether it is waived because you meet or did not meet the spending requirement. so next time please be more specific.

Look here, I don't even care for suspension or warning as you have Private message me. I don't even mind i get suspend because of i speak out the truth

I would like to stress again,  why you are so defensive about auto AF waiver for mbb cards? You don;t get it?

I speak based on truth and facts based on my own experience.

I believe truth will prevail AF can be autowaived for MBB premium credit cards. You dont get it does not mean other people will not get it. Don't compare your own experience with other people's experience in real.
I spend 20-30k per month for my mbb cards per month. So, I have no idea how it works, but, I did get auto AF for years

sometime more than 50-80k if have contest... or more than that If i concentrate all spendings to mbb cards.. it depends on moods

Regardless SST, thanks for your info.. let me check my total points later
*
Look, the issue is very simple. Someone asked whether it is easy to waive the AF and you replied easy without giving further info. You clearly admitted that you have no idea how it works and yet you feel it is necessary to reply that it is easy. You get super defensive when I pointed this out. It is not about auto-waiver, so don't change the goal post. Bear in mind that this section is under serious discussion section. So again, I quote from the R&R, "Do not post unless you have something to contribute".

It this your first card? Try to call CS and see if he/she can help. I had to get them to remove my cancelled cards manually from M2U too.

For such fraudulent credit card transactions, the general advice given here is to call the bank to block the credit card, and request the bank to give us a new credit card (with new card numbers, and new CVV code).

In such case, are we cardholders required to pay for RM 50 card replacement fee?
*
no, based on my experience with other maybank card

You'll be banned if you have a suspicious pattern in your BP activity.
Example: Too frequent withdrawals of high amount and etc.
Nobody knows the flagging criteria.
