I have added my oversea card to S20+ (Samsung Pay), S22 Ultra (Google Pay) and AP with ip 13 Pro Max. To be honest AP is the fastest one with one tap and the payment is done.

S20+ and S22 Ultra need to adjust the phone position and distance from card reader while ip 13 Pro Max can handle it without an error.

3 times I've failed to tap with my S22 Ultra at Lotus's (CIMB merchant) but the same phone works with McD card reader (Maybank merchant).

I never encountered any error while using AP at Lotus's, McD or any store that support paywave even though I am using the same card with all my 3 phones.

Did you remember which bank merchant used by Guardian? Hong Leong bank? Or another merchant? I also have same error when using AP at Guardian but the same card works with Watson store.
