if not mistaken wave with pin can above 250 smile.gif for using card not AP
i never use to wave and pay item more than 250

There is an instance where AP may not work for purchases above RM250 eventhough the PIN is entered.

If one were to make a purchase above RM250 at a jewelery store in MY (ex Poh Kong, etc), their terminal will reject your PIN even though it is correctly entered if no physical cc is present.

if tomorrow dont come, everyone will jump boat....lol

It is as close as it can get to the news that everyone is waiting for.
Just wait a bit longer. I doubt they will throw cold water to the launch with all the fanfare we have seen recently.

Then this thread will take a different twist (or maybe new version) after AP launches. Promo talk, glitches, etc.

Ask moderators and this thread's TS AFTER it's officially launched. like Hye. (I scared to tag haha)

Thanks for the thoughts.
I was thinking about it but leaving for TS and the AP community to decide whether we should be moving towards a new thread.

This thread is now moving so fast and rich with a lot of info.

Next time, (if possible) do note the terminal and the merchant bank (on that terminal) that they are using.

Example- UOB terminals (iinm GHL) used by Nandos in KV don't work with SPay.

Appreciate if the folks here if they want to update their experiences, do post it in the Web form post in Thread #1

Have seen a lot of folks posting their version of Web forms. Do reference only the TS from here on unless he decides otherwise.

Will regulate any new forms introduced from hereon.

If you can, do you remember what the terminal model was? As unless your devices is super old/legacy, all of it should work first try. Cause so far from the reports, it looks like Sunmi terminals(Orange colored ones) has the most issues, while others like GHL, Verifone, Castles etc all works just fine. Trying to collect more data points to see if Sunmi's terminal is the issue or it's just the users phones having issues  hmm.gif

Yes, I agree.
Pointed this out yesterday that the feedback should carry more info rather than a simple "I can't use my card at Speed Mart 99".

There are many unknown variables in play here. E.g Phone model, which card, what terminal was in use, etc.

Also noticeable today was the varied acronym used when describing the bank. In my opinion, here is an open discussion where understanding the banking experience is important to see the population feedback. The context here is not blatantly bashing the financial institution thus appreciate if the audience are more forthcoming in naming the FI using a universal known acronym.

E.g AMBank vs AB / Camel / etc. (Took me a while to figure out what is AB. For a moment I thought what Apple service this is? 🤔)

Subang Parade parking ok. Entered and exit with iPhone. Managed to even get the "early bird fare". So I guess, 100% ok.

Just that when I exit, I realised i did a double tap too. Tap once, and it did nothing but iPhone says scanned. Tapped 2nd then everything ok.
Interesting experience.
Members here may see the same experience happening to them when using BSC parking.

Enter - single tap., to exit - tap twice (1st tap will not raise the boom)

You can Google for the information

Suggest to have a good understanding of how to read corporate structure information, shareholding and financial information.

It is OK to make mistakes, learn from it and apologize/recover from it sincerely. Others with low comprehension on how to understand corporate info may get the same misunderstanding thus important to be accountable of is being posted.

Next is the hassle of reporting to the bank the duplicate charges. Unless realise quickly while still at the merchant and ask them to reverse the extra charges on the spot.

Does Jaya Grocer accept Spay? I dont see why this discrimination towards AP.

Jaya Grocer does accept SPay.

Troll them  whistling.gif have a AW, hide your AW in pocket, ask for paywave, pretend to take out your wallet double press AW button then quickly tap the terminal whistling.gif  whistling.gif

Please have a consideration for the cashier. Not his/her decision to decline AP. The cashier will only get into trouble with his/her superior for your misdemeanour.

Even aborting the purchase as a sign of protest doesn't sound bad vs. intentionally putting the cashier in hot soup just to prove a point that AP works. One can even consider putting in a complaint to Maybank that Jaya Grocer claiming that Maybank AP is not supported in their machines vs the known fact. (Thus MBB is indirectly faulted)

Better to direct the AP rejection query to the right level of authority in Jaya Grocer. Please don't mess someone livelihood irresponsibly in this manner and ruin the image of Apple users in Malaysia.

Sounds like Jaya Grocer is having cashflow problems if they are worried about the clearance time for credit card payments.

If this is true then all credit card acceptance would be in problem/declined but only AP was discriminated.

Managed to use AP at JG @ Starling today.

And yes let’s all do this, if they don’t allow AP as the payment channel, walk off and leave the items there. Do this in a mass scale and let them hear our voices.
*
Also, should push for the retailers to come out clean on their rejection of AP. If they don't want to accept, it's OK but publish that rejection publicly. (Which they don't dare to in the first place)
Don't let the cashier bear the brunt of consumers frustration and anger.

also just had an interesting experience at my local mamak shop. they're using CIMB's iTerminal (which is a rebranded Pine Labs Plutus Smart A920) to process card payments, and they didn't support Apple Pay with my Maybank Grab MasterCard. However Apple Pay with my Maybank 2 Visa worked. similar to 99Speedmart with their orange Sunmi terminals

so now we have two cases where terminal rejects Apple Pay with Mastercard but accepts Apple Pay with Visa

Thanks for a great piece of info!
