A waste of time in my honest opinion, instead better to lobby your local bank instead by asking why don't they enable Apple Pay

As far as I know Apple charge card issuer some fee for each transaction like 15 cent in the US. As for Samsung Pay, Samsung does not charge banks anything. It is just an extension of phone feature usage. Samsung just sell phone and use the feature to keep users in Samsung eco system.

So, which retailer is going to use Apple Pay?

Nothing to do with retailer. Even right now you can pay using apple pay at any retailers which support paywave.
The only hurdle is whether you can add your debit/credit card to apple wallet or not.

Paywave, a small commission is paid to the card issuer for convenience. If to add card into the Apple Pay, you think the card issuer will not have to pay Apple? Meaning the card issuer will have to pay part of what they get from retailer with Apple. Samsung Pay does not charge card issuer unlike Apple. The commission goes to card issuer alone.

Apple would be happier if you use Apple e-wallet, of course smile.gif Apple get hold of your money + fee from retailer.
