Wonder if there's a way to open an SG account without going to SG 😂

You can’t even open a SG account if you go there physically. It used to be easy, not anymore.

Both Maybank and CIMB Singapore don’t support Apple Pay till now, I doubt they are keen. Gotta wait for smaller player to work with Apple.

Only one outlet or they are asking all/most outlet to try? Abit makes no sense to ask only 1 outlet to try right?
*
He said "chain", not just 1 outlet.

Does it hint Apple Pay is really coming to Malaysia soon?

Should be a generic page, shared the same contents as Singapore and US.

Make sense that those banks that are already offering Apple Pay in SG will be the first to offer it here.

Here in JB some merchants would just freak out when I say I’m using PayWave but I pull out my phone as they expect me to use eWallet QR, but in KL every merchant I go to is like, yeah sure. There really is more that needs to be done to educate people about using contactless without physical card.

I thought a lot of Singaporeans will be using it?

PBB high chance will not jump onboard, low number of card users and also probably don't want to revenue split the MDR with Apple
*
PBB is one of the most outdated local bank. Just look at their online banking page.

No question asked even at the KK mart near my house. The Bangladeshi staff seems to get use to all kinds of payment methods.

This morning went to health lane buy some medicine, try 2 times, it failed instantly after scanned, seem like terminal reject the tap, cashier try restart the terminal still same, no issues with my physical card, hlb bank terminal like 50/50%? If no other peoples behind you can try la, if line up behind better use physical card, maybe there’s an option to turn it on/off for Apple Pay ?
*
Used it in HealthLane last week, no issue at all. I am using SCB.

I emailed public bank to ask for support and got this reply. No sign of ApplePay for public bank sigh

Looking at how terrible is their app and that they are still spamming their customers with multiple emails everyday with no option to unsubscribe, I doubt they will bother about Apple Pay.
