QUOTE(KaiHD @ Jul 24 2022, 06:07 PM) clarification: the problem with AP in Malaysia is purely because currently there is no connection between bank and Apple servers to support when a user tries to add card to AP, unlike with SP. once a card is added to AP, to the merchant it appears the same as if it’s an AP user or SP user or contactless terminals that already support contactless don’t require a code update for users to use AP. it can support AP the same way it supports contactless cards. it can support high value purchases already, just that user still needs to enter PIN after tapping if purchase is above RM 250 the code update the forumer is talking about is just to allow contactless payments above RM 250 without requiring PIN at all if the user is using AP - basically AP is telling the merchant/bank no need to ask for PIN because user is already verified through Touch/Face ID May I know what makes SP different than AP and why Has SP been available in Malaysia since 2016 and and AP not yet

QUOTE(WaferMaker @ Jul 28 2022, 08:17 PM) Simply to say that, I guess it is because of the market share of user in Malaysia which may not big enough and banks are not willingly to earn lesser because of limited customer. sir u can check in their website according to statcounter website Apple users in Malaysia way more than users in Qatar

Yes, please put in your mind that Apple Pay is a service on demand. For example if Malaysian . Banks are willing to institute that kind of service in their payment system, then they can let the citizens to utilise this kind of service in the country. So this decision 50% of the decision is solely with Malaysian bank institution and the other 50% is Apple Pay (Apple Pay is service not a product 😉) so what iam saying is if we want Apple Pay we have to ask our banks to adopt Apple Pay instead of asking Apple for that

Apple Pay will be available in Kuwait since there is an official news from their bank institution saying that they got invitation from Apple Pay and reached agreement with Apple Pay to adopt Apple Pay services in Kuwait ☺️ Sorry guys but if Apple is coming to Malaysia they should announce in bnm website that they are trying to institute the service in Malaysia like what the other countries did

QUOTE(megustatu @ Aug 2 2022, 04:01 PM) One guy previously made a great smart guess on the date using data-driven approach. I'm feeling very good and confident of the date he endorsed  I saw his post. So let’s hope that Malaysia is th chosen country by Apple this year

QUOTE(nokia2003 @ Aug 3 2022, 02:35 PM) Refer to my post here. See above. I am using a Malaysian-FI issued credit card. Mine is synonymous to yours. The image that I have shared denotes a successful payment notification via Apple Pay. Can u show us another photo of the credit card in Apple Watch

I don’t think companies like adidas maxis and Shopee would do anything without permission from Apple

Moreover putting Apple Pay in their system doesn’t mean necessarily that apple coming to Malaysia. Maybe they want to make it easy for foreigners to pay since they have Apple Pay in their smartphone I am not saying Apple Pay will not come to Malaysia. But what I am trying to say. Is That This how Apple will consider Shopee , maxis , adidas etc. reactions

QUOTE(faizalmzain @ Aug 6 2022, 12:24 AM) I’m on ios16 beta and i do have Singapore card in my wallet. I did notice adidas my app has apple pay option and today when i want to pay for a concert ticket, there’s an option to pay via apple pay as well. Not sure who’s the payment gateway provider for adidas my app and that website though Or is it a new feature for ios16 whenever you have a valid card in your wallet then the option is enabled by default?🤷🏽♀️ Apple Pay is a service for websites who have applied via Apple website ( service on demand) so I think iOS 16 has nothing to do with that. I think Shopee , adidas etc. applied for that recently just to make it easy for those who have cards supported by Apple Pay not to mention Apple Pay is coming so soon🙂
