From the picture, can see it's almost a month ago they already testing this @ Mydin USJ. Also, BNM no larang for internal testing. You need approval from BNM for public rollout. This is all just dummy values going in and out shown AP and Mydin's POS.

As per shared by a forumer here, BNM said they have no halangan for Apple Pay to rill out, so private entity here tested with tiger bank. BNM should just issue approval letter as it was nothing to do with them?😂Attached Image

Eh? I saw them procure apple products in late Feb. so they do their testing and come back to challenge you?😂

Edit: i think this should be near final? At least they throw you requirements, not questions?

I know the exact date when it will launch, but I can’t tell you. Hopefully there won’t be any hiccups like earlier in the year. As far as i know, only one bank will be supporting apple pay at launch.

Before or after ios16?

In the UK it's even easier if you activate, express transit. You won't have to double click anything because your iphone will basically function like a touch & go card
I would like to corroborate to this statement, this is what i wanted to tell you guys but was not given the green light at that time  biggrin.gif

I assume is a typo on the year 2021?

Anyway, August can start using means on ios15.6?
Means iphone 7 is not left behind?😂

Pity those holding iphone 7 but only can use AP in ios16.

I also share RonanGow’s pessimism, I have been checking Apple Malaysia’s website many times and have not seen any teaser of Apple Pay being released just like those from Latin America.

I have also checked several times on the major banks’ websites in Malaysia. No solid lead of Apple Pay’s release, apart from the image of Maybank beta testing one of their credit cards on Apple Pay in a supermarket; suggesting Maybank has been working with Apple for some time and heading towards its eventual release. Though a release date is yet to be confirmed. Other leaks are a he said, she said source which is hard to verify.

I have noticed there has been a surge of new formers on this specific form. To be clear, I’m not trying to belittle or kill the excitement of all formers. It’s just that I have seen time over time again of formers’ disappointment including myself for Apple Pay’s release. Frankly I used to share the enthusiasm like the newer formers, nowadays I’m much more reserved to manage expectations. Being a realist to put it simply.

I literally went to Singapore to try Apple Pay as a good friend allowed me to try it and witness my over dramatic fascination with NFC payments. Then again, I hope what is being shared on the forum is happening for real. I would like to be proven wrong.

Appreciate the forumers that continue to check up on this forum before and to the newcomers, I hope you don’t need to check this forum any longer. Hope August has something for us.

You noticed sudden increase of new comer as well😂, very obvious, 100% posting in AP thread only

Yeah POTUS glad to hear from you. Still remember you and a few other forumers that were pumped for a released and left disappointed again. At least I know I’m not the only one feeling it. 😂
*
No, i did not share any info as im just a ordinary apple user who care for release of AP. Well since “anti b0ssku” had endorsed a date, i will just going to trust him. Nothing to lose also right?

Exactly what I meant, pushing AP with another iOS update seems unlikely.
*
Yeah, unlikely, bear in mind it is just an announcement if rumors are true. They can just activate and start use for next ios update?

In the meantime of counting down Apple Pay launching
Let's start for some fun discussion tongue.gif

Assume your common use bank card is able to add to Apple Pay
Are you going not to bring that card when going out?

In an extremely case,
Assume all your bank card is able to add to Apple Pay
will you going to put only 2 cards (IC + driving license) in your wallet?
Putting 100% truth on Apple Pay
*
My way, put NRIC, driving license and a RM100 note for standby in apple magsafe wallet. Apple Pay and Maybank cardless withdrawal and Mae QR payment to serve all purpose
