All the C2D now is much more worth of buying .....

very attractive price as compared to before ....

i saw few C2D rig sold everyday ... in LYP ...

seems like those that waited long for the C2D to drop price really got their patience pay off..

OMG!!!!
Now dat i can definitely get best bang for money!!!!
Plan to get a mid-gaming system for RM1,500, it used to be quite impossible but now~~~
Can even get decent gaming rig for under RM1,500!!!

But not everyone needs a quad core rite...?Not dat ur going to utilise dual core(well, not everyone) anyway...

Quad core is just intel another fame story, it's hotter than C2D due to increment of cores and yet able to function properly with the current mobos available in the market...

I would suggest u to get this combination...

Athlon 64 X2 3800+ RM280
Corsair 667 1GB RM 170
Asus M2NPV-MX (NF6150) RM315

*
Thnx but oledi decided to try on intel boring wth AMD liow...My previous (now become my daughter networked PC biggrin.gif ) was an AMD 2.0 Gz and the fan is damn noisy bcos of the heat generated from the old AMD....Althouigh knowing that P D925 3.0Ghz is only equivalent to probably AMD 64 XP3500 only...

Here is the price list of my latest rig

1) P D925 3.0Ghz = RM295
2) MSI 7222 MOBO = RM155
3) WD 160GB HD = RM183
4) Kinston 1G DDR2 667 RAM =RM165
5) MSI FX5200 DVI GUI card = RM128
6) Samsung DVD RW = RM103
7) Powerlogic Casing/PSU =RM130

So face to face value due to the pricy AMD MOBO, Intel is still cheaper although slower.....Even taking the AMD 64X2 3800+ (Almost similar performance) will be more exp than P D925 due to the MOBO issue...

BTW PCzone seems to be cheaper but during quotation stage I just dun like the tidak apa attitude of their staff damn LCLY....so decided on MTEC...

well...don't get quad core... you won't get any benefits of running quad core because current applications not yet taking advantage of it...

instead...what's you'll get is hotter parts and hard to OC to higher clockspeed...

yeah...it's really hot...can't push the OC too much with air cooling...
sad.gif

u don't need 4 cores...2 cores will do...and push for good OC...then overall you get better performance...for now...

unless more and more software utilize the 4 cores ....
