To answer your question: depends.

To me ICAEW is more harder but more glamourous than ACCA. But i believe in general ppl know more about ACCA rather than ICAEW.

But i think the enrollment for ACCA is more than ICAEW, so you have more peers to refer to or have group studies and compare notes for discussion. Probably a bit more limited for ICAEW.

So boils down to you. If you can challenge yourself and be independent, go for ICAEW. Accounting firms and shared service centre would recognise more for that cert.

But if you wanna play safe and be recognised as well, ACCA is the way to go.

Both are highly respected in Malaysia.
