OK. After going tru weeks of mods n the OS transition to Windows Vista. I finally got down to sorting out the pix. Here's the rest of the pix I have of King Kong II as it appeared at the Silverstone LANparty. More mods to come once I have the SG03 rig up n running. Then I can work on the TJ07 while my daily online work wont b interrupted.
Here comes the pix. King Kong sitting on my new workstation which I renovated a few days after the LANparty. ![]() Front view. This is the front faceplate mod + super 2x120mm fan intake mod. This is so that the 2x8800GTX n super OCed X2 gets lotsa cool fresh air. ![]() Night shot of the rig. ![]() ![]() The top window mod. ![]() Front 3/4 view. ![]() More pix coming right up. too bad uncle ian, the "omgwtfbbqsauce" word cannot be viewed clearly when the window panel is put up. /sigh/
p/s: is that blue power button panel completely modded or you only put in a blue LED light? love it alot. >.< |

if i remember correctly, he did mention that he put a blue led behind so tat the power button would hav a glowing effect. The power button can be bought wiv led but it cost around RM50.

QUOTE(blessedvillain @ May 18 2007, 08:13 PM) It's ok. That's y I put the rig on the tabletop now. Last time the Lian Li on the floor was terrible. Like a vacuum machine. Since the LANparty I havent cleaned the rig n it still looks clean. do you also use double sided tape for acrylic top panel blowholes man? is it string enough to hold a fan? and wouldn't there be a gap between the case and acrylic if you use double sided tape?

Here's sum new stuff for King Kong. I actually bought these lovely fans at the previous PC Fair but didn't have the time to play with them yet. I'll be modding them soon b4 installation into King Kong.
![]() Nice lovely bling bling fans. The blades r chromed while the fan frame is made of aluminum. The aluminum frame shud help in dissipating more heat from my heatsinks. ![]() Will update again after I mod those fans. For fans, the tape is enuf. For radiators then definitely will use screw mounting. |
