I was actually new in this forum bt i do hv a fren dat used to work at sgw(EX-lcly-salesman).anyway this is wat i think a consumer need to do when they're at SGW
1. Make up ur mind
2. Prepare the money u needed to buy stuff
3. If ur rich , try not to ba an *******
4. If ur nt really dat rich , try nt to discount too much(2 much of discount actually annoying)
5. Try to listen to wat da salesman trying to say (honesty oni comes if u listen )
6. The more u think ur being con , the easier u'll b con
and at last 7. it's da same shit if ur buying stuff cheap , pirated or watever just stick wit da shop ur always been to coz sometimes it's quite hard 4 dose f**** to do biz sometimes ... JUST reply if u agreed wit it ......

Lol I dun agree with the bargaining part. i always bargain until the fella going to faint then after that i just walk out of the shops hehe.

yess.. customer always want cheap.. actually everybody want cheap stuff..
me, i like to survey all shops before buying something. and i take note the price and shop. so if i go again and they dont give me that price, i'll show the list. if cannot also, go to second lower price. ()

Do extensive research on the item you are planning to buy. Nothing feels nicer than knowing more than the seller and laughing on the inside when you know he's feeding you all sorts of bullsh*t. Trust me, spending time learning more about the item you want to buy is very very rewarding (and less riskier too)

my way of bargaining,first,act like your stupid and aint know nothin bout the stuff your buyin

second,when you know the seller is trying to con(and everybody in SGW does) you,tell them who has the higher ground and throw at him/her smart questions that makes him feel like he's/she's stupid.destroy their morale and make the conners feel like crying

then,bargain kaw-kaw till you get the price you want

a good customer in S.Wang,is someone who knows how to counter conners.my 20 ringgit

you need to be acknowledge wat u wan to buy n also do some research to it...
Then you can ask them questions... in the advance level... spec you know already so don ask too much...
try to get harder question after one another...

then negotiate the price that you wan... cannot get go out of there... tats all...

seller always try to change to other similar items... ( brainwash u)
coz the one u ask not much profit...

actually, I agree with don't bargain too much. It is very annoying. I only bargain until when it seems really reasonable.

But some sellers are being jerks also la, (E.G. Chinese-speaking INDIAN MAN from sungai wang)
