Hi guys, just wondering have anyone went for a week trip to Jeju?

Planned to go with my wife on early November. We went to Jeju & Seoul 4 years back but it was quite hectic so we didn't explore much of Jeju, we did cover most of the eastern side of the island only. Both of us fell in love with Jeju and decided to go again and focus only on Jeju island alone.

I planned to go for a slow & easy trip perhaps cycling along some of the scenic olle trails & learn about the traditional korean cultures there.. Has anyone have itinerary that they could share?

I'm flying to Jeju for 6 days this month end. Can someone recommend me a good & affordable wifi router to rent ? I search in klook & kkday and most of them only allows collection in Incheon & Busan which I can't go since I'm taking direct KL - Jeju flight.

Thanks.. looks like wifibaby the cheapest but it require a RM200 deposit, same goes to trave recommend (Priciest).
Roamingman however don't require a deposit and the price is reasonable. Do you have any experience among this 3? Tempted to go for RunningMan.. *opsss * Roaming Man sweat.gif

Went to Seoul last april, only used Bigpay & cash.
The exchange rate was a lot better than bank's rate and you get the exact MYR amount in the Bigpay acc after each transaction.
No problems whatsoever, just used it like normal CC.
*
During your trip did you face any rejection from using the Bigpay card? Heard from my friend that some merchant refuse to accept the card as it doesn't have any name on it.

Hi, I am travelling to Korea tonight.

But passport valid until end of March 2020 only.

Can I enter?

Isn't it a bit too late? But I think u need 6month validity to enter.

Hi all, I'm planning for a family trip to Seoul next spring, bought flight tickets dy. So now planning where to go and what to do. It'll be a 7days trip, but we'll only be travelling for 5 days since 1 day & last day will be spend on plane.

I've been to Seoul once in 2014 & so I've been assigned as the planner for the trip sweat.gif
Anyway among the attractions I'm planning to go is some of the most common attraction like N-Tower, Gyeongbokgung, Ehwa Women's university (shopping), myeongdong (shopping), nami island & petite france.

I also thought of going to Jeonju for a day trip, will be visiting the hanok village & possibly night market. But I survey the high speed train from seoul to jeonju is quite pricey & to rent a local tour will cost about rm1.5k. Have anyone been to Jeonju? Would you recommend there as a place to go?

I briefly checked. Car rental + super expensive collision waiver (more expensive than the car rental price) is a lot of money. So would you recommend a full day taxi hire instead for 4 pax?
*
Check out AJ car rental, their price quite competitive. I've been to Jeju twice, both times rent a car to drive around there. Definitely worth it, you got the freedom to go anywhere you wanted, plus all the known attractions are searchable via the GPS by just entering their phone numbers. I still remember during my winter trip there, I experience having to put on snow chains via the instruction from youtube. laugh.gif
If I were to go for the third time, I won't think twice but to rent and drive there. There's a lot of beautiful views waiting to be discovered when driving along Jeju's road.

Guys, do you have any contact for accommodation in Seoul around April next year? I just notice the price from Airbnb shoot up quite a lot compare when I check it a few months back e.g. the house which I bookmarked went up from RM2.4k for 7 days to 3k++

Also, my flight is scheduled to reach Seoul at around 9PM, will be landing at Incheon airport & departing back to Msia at 10AM. Any suggested arrangements on how should I manage it? I wonder if I can check into Incheon's departure lounge the night before so I won't risk missing my flight.

Hi, I'm going to Seoul in March and I do not have an itinerary yet.  biggrin.gif

In Day 2, for Nami Island trip, since you will be travelling out of town, may I suggest you include Garden of Morning Calm in your itinerary as well? If you would like to do two places only, you might wanna leave out Petite France instead.

Are you gonna do a Day Tour or DIY? You can check out Klook or KKDay for their day tour packages. Since you will be travelling with a toddler, it will be more comfortable if you are driven.

Their tours end at 7.00pm so you are able to catch dinner at Myeongdong Night Market in the evening.

I prefer day tour as it's much more convenient for my mum & my toddler. Yeah I'm sourcing around Klook as well, planning to find a private tour & rent the a van to bring us there.

COEX Underground mall nothing much if you plan to do some shopping there as namdaemun and myeongdong pretty much covers everything they have there. main attraction is the library and the aquarium though.

namdaemun and myeongdong if shopping during day and night not much difference. only difference is the street food vendors are more at night and the lighting during night at myeongdong is beautiful.

last time i went to diy nami island tour and back we reach back to our hotel at almost 11pm lol.
*
I actually run out of place to go as I've cover most of the main attractions there. Appreciate if you can share any other place to go. My sis 'specifically' requested a shopping trip so thats why I'm going to myeongdong several times during my stay hahaha.

If going during cherry blossom season, maybe try the area around Seoul Forest?
Then after can go to Seongsu-dong for some shopping and coffee.

Insadong and Ikseondong are also some other choices if you've never been.
*
For spring blossom I''ve planned to visit Yeouido Park, I guess could drop by Seoul Forest too biggrin.gif

if you really going shopping at seoul, several times not enough need everyday  laugh.gif

the whole dongdaemun district itself is a clothing shopping haven.
kilometers of shops i tell you as far as the eye can see.
*
Wahahaha... that was my sister wish, I myself aren't going there for shopping. Since I'm the primary planner I just slot in whatever free time for them to shopping. But noted on dongdaemun, my last trip in 2014 i only went to dongdaemun mall at night, I didn't walk around the shopping street coz I'm there to visit Cheonggyecheon stream only.

its not actually street shopping, the entire length of the road the buildings mostly clothing shops.

wah you walk to dongdaemun all the way from cheonggye plaza?
tats quite far.  thumbup.gif

i always plan to walk the entire 11km stream until the end but never got about doing it.
maybe one day......  whistling.gif

Wahhh... not the whole stream... i take subway to DDP then walk to the portion of the stream just beside it.
