QUOTE(eidrag @ Jan 12 2017, 06:40 PM) None, or very little night life. Far from train station, in/out to nearby city is by bus, forgot already if hourly or twice hourly. Not so much food variety, konbini is small. Other than that, okay la. Lots of onsen/sento, some need schedule to go, others just open, no need to pay. Sounds perfect for a quiet snowboarding getaway! Thank you very much!Would you recommend anywhere else in Japan for snowboarding? I've been to Niseko already |

QUOTE(Samurai @ Jan 12 2017, 09:28 PM) Nagano...Hakuba among the best ski and snowboard place. Thank you! I've been following Powderhounds too much for their snow resort recommendations. Will have to save this for next round!http://www.happo-one.jp/english/ You also can try Dynaland Ski and Resort..its located at Gifu...if you take flight from Malaysia..need landed at Nagoya..then catch bus or train to this rsort.. http://www.dynaland.co.jp/ QUOTE(deodorant @ Jan 12 2017, 11:09 PM) skip to 0:42-3:47: Fresh powder and empty slopes Like eidrag said, it's a very quiet town. Slopes are typically not crowded, hardly any queues at the ski lifts. Nozawa Onsen also normally gets huge dumps of snow, but too bad the year I went was a "dry" year so some of the slopes on wrong sides of mountains tended to be patchy / icy. |
