Anyone know where to buy JR Tokyo wide pass outside Japan? My flight will arrive in Haneda at 10.30pm and I read the sale counter open up from 0745 to 1830 only. I am going to shinjuku that night.

Yes u can. The easiest one is from the small counter after Isetan cust service @ KLCC.

The price is based on higher currency & change weekly although the pass price will be the same. Online rate will be cheaper. However I'm abot worry on online courier (loss in transit) & decided to pay jtb- isetan a visit, just 2 wks b4 my journey. Here is JTB msia website. They are huge in Japan too.

http://jtbmalaysia.com/japan-rail-pass/

P/s: pls bring in your passport for verification. Otherwise they might not sell to u as this pass cannot change /correct name upon exchange to the actual pass in Japan later. They hv to ensure everything is correct.

Thanks. I think there is some misunderstanding here. What I mean is JR Tokyo Wide pass http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/tokyowidepass/#category03.
Since i will be around Tokyo,Hakone,Kawaguchiko and Yokohama so i think this pass is more reasonable for me.
My plan is to use JR Tokyo wide pass-Fuji Hakone pass-JR Tokyo wide pass. Total cost around 10k+5650yen+10k yen for 8days. Seems more reasonable than Jr rail pass 29k yen.

My plan:
*This is where i stay, I'm not yet finalize where i will going. Place of visit is much more dependent on the pass that i take.

Arrive at night before Day 1.
Day1 - Tokyo (Shinjuku)
Day2 - Tokyo (Shinjuku)
Day3 - Tokyo (Shinjuku)
Day4 - Hakone
Day5 - Kawaguchiko
Day6- Yokohama
Day7- Yokohama (Night Flight)

Cost:
Ticket Return: ~Rm1.2k
Accomodation : ~RM1.2k
Pass: ~RM1k
Quite expensive not including meal yet sweat.gif

u can try ask.
as far as i know, JR National pass, u can change early even if ur not using at that day u change it. just let him know the date u will be using.
not sure if is applicable for Tokyo Wide Pass.

edit: it seem it suggest me to get this pass if im goin Nikko. unless if i could make it with my JR pass. i will let u know if i buy it (im goin next week)
forgiven n forgotten.
*
Please update me if you buy it or probably you can ask them where to buy it outside japan laugh.gif

in tokyo where exactly u planned to go?
coz inner tokyo if u ride alot it is recommended to use metro pass wink.gif
or if u travel less... no need to use any pass at all

eg.
Day 1,2,3 -> tokyo metro pass (only inner city, cant use in outer city eg disney, odaiba, nakano, etc)
Day 4,5 -> fuji hakone pass combo with romance car
*
Not finalize yet but probably:
Day 1 - (Wide Pass 3days) Shinjuku gyoen park> Akihabara> Imperial Palace & Imperial garden > Ginza > Disneyland > Shinjuku
Day 2 - Shinjuku >Tokyo Metropolitan Building > Meiji Shrine > harajuku > Shibuya > Odaiba > Shinjuku
Day 3 - Around Shinjuku > few place > Hakone ( Fuji Hakone Pass)
Day 4 - Hakone > Kawaguchiko
Day 5 - Kawaguchiko (wide pass 3days) > Yokohama > Few place
Day 6 - Yokohama > Few Place> Yokohama
Day 7 - Yokohama > Few Place > Late night flight.

Still working on my itinerary, basically i plot the place to go before connecting the route sweat.gif

Thanks for the map. Normal people allocate fullday for disney as they got ample time but I don't have enough time to cover all place laugh.gif
For Disneysea, I will take after 6 passport for 4200yen. Need to calculate my time, if cannot reach disney around 6pm then i need to cut one place and put it to other days sweat.gif
Edit : do i need to buy metro pass as well?

lol dafug. why even bother mang, you go and see fantasia and queue one popular ride and finish time liao. either go a full day or don't go.

[edit] I have done the half day 6pm thing, but that's cos my wife is a HUGE Duffy/Shellie-Mae fan. So our only purpose to go is to buy the bears and the clothes. This ticket is not worth it at all otherwise. All the shows will already have stopped, you queue one ride and habis time, need to go get a good spot for watching the Fantasia closing liao.
*
6pm to 10pm not enough? i think 4200yen around 4hours inside there still worth it. Just walking around and try a few ride. icon_rolleyes.gif

or mayb he really enjoy riding few hrs trains
for train maniacs, this is heaven trip wink.gif

No option left bro as i dont have much time. On the 1st day I just go any place along JR Keiyo line and Chuo line. So just walking and hopping between station. After 10 can go back direct and sleep laugh.gif
2nd day is around Yamanote Line and maybe take one or two metro line.
After a few more read I think Tokunai pass is more worth it for my plan than JR Tokyo wide pass. Am i right bro? Please correct me if I am wrong laugh.gif http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/pass/tokunai_pass.html

1. parking fee gonna bleed u,
u can save abit by staying in hotel that provide free parking

2. traffic light no right turn, u make ur own judgement before cross 🤳

3. when stopping u need 3 to 5 meter gap between each car,
when driving at least 30-100meter gap... no bumper to bumpers

4. japan car gps location based on phone number, some non existing place will guide u to cityhall... u better use google gps
*
Ok. Then i totally forgot about toll and parking. Need to recalculate back. Thanks for the reminder.
