Which faction is better for Alliance Hunter? Aldor or Scycers?

Well you could check their respective quartermasters and see which has the best/most items for you.

if u decided to change factions, there's a way to do it.

2 different NPCs in lower city will give you the option to do so by submitting stuff to them. only available if you're hated with one faction. if neutral on both factions, both NPCs don't let u do it.

finish rep for 1 faction.. then go turn in item for next faction:)

my thoughts exactly. then again, it's a toss-up between running instances or the rep turn-ins for increasing sha'tar rep. it's something like 50% Sha'tar rep for every Rep point for Scryer or Altor faction?

i'm taking it easy with BC. leveling, instancing and raiding is big headaches in itself.

obviously scryers, cuz they're the cool kids, and aldors are simply gay

There is a lady in Lower City which ask for Dread Venom Sags from spiders in Netherweb Ridge. Each turnin gives 250 rep towards aldor and -250 rep to scryer. It's a farming spot so you're going to have to tag the mob fast.

She has a Quest Mark when you're unfriendly with Aldor. Once on Neutral, no more turn-ins. Head over to Khadgar and select your Friendly faction again.

The place is just like UC lift death trap.
Look at the amount of skeletons littered all around the lift area
I still dont get it. How the hell people can fall like 20-30 yards away from the lift.
Anyway, aldor and scryer doesn't really make any difference for my enhance shammy. I just take scryer just in case if i need any healing stuff if im gonna respec restor.

aldor has this like awesome sword,
my MT was wielding it and one day we were doing some runs where he was MCed,
hitting me for 2k crits in tanking gear, had to shout on vent for him to change weapon.
the next time we did the same run he forgotten to change the weapon, our mage was smacked dead by him

and no, there is no extra dmg while being mced that time

For hunters.... Aldor if you want atk power, scryer if you're the pvp type (more crits i think). My huntar picked aldor. (He's a dorf.. im an elf hater)

Fire mage is crazy man...they really kills...lol...they simply win every class dmg in a sec...dammit

but if u catch them by surprise, a fire mage will go down faster than a frost mage.

rogues with all his/her cooldowns available will have a chance. Warriors against a skilled fire mage...byebye birdie!

so, is there a possiblity for both being neutral to reselect friendly faction again...
as wat i hav seen both side wont able to balance up neutral...
once u turn in the quest with any side will gain +250, the other side will -275, instead of -250...

yes it can balance up to neutral if you didn't select the faction yet. to do this, just head over to the bank person and it will automatically put u on neutral.

however, once you've selected the faction from khadgar, they automatically one is hated and the other is friendly.

only for crafting and materials. the weapons and gear will get replaced easily.

Actually, im not concerned about Aldor or Scryer rep.
Im more concerned about Sha'tar and Lower City rep as a shaman.
Can only get to exalted thru instances
Freaking TK and Shadow Labs runs are too tiring and brutal. No one likes to run them.

if you are not sure, which factions to choose, here's a good overview:

Aldor vs Scryer.

Make a comparison, then you can decide where to go to.

I agree with myremi, weapons/gears are replaceable, most of the ppl will choose the factions based on their professions.

aldor for the tailoring recipes? +heals ones anyway.

for the JC recipes, i wouldn't be so bothered about choosing scryer or aldor coz you can always get one of your guildies to help you out to make gems of the other faction.

but tailoring recipes are BoP so choose wisely.

i up tailoring for the whitemend set only..

if u've already started hitting karazhan, the weapons from scryer / aldor not so good anymore but the crafting ones, might be good if the black temple starts. suspect that bosses there will cast arcane/fire magic.

don't think so hard lah woman. if you haven't decided, then leave it be. although then it would mean thatyou can increase Sha'tar rep through the Tempest Keep quests + grinding only.

when i was feral, i decided with scryer. am still with them even after resto.

it's not that bad.

well em.. crit rate is high so instant smite is pop quite regulary..

it doesnt really matter unless you prefer the minor crit portion or ap/spelldmg portion in comparison to scryer/aldor

And their shoulder enchant is better for healers.

True. It was a choice that I made because I actually didn't intend to go Resto. But because it was hard to find a good healer that is GMT+8 friendly for 5-man instances, I respec to healer.

The primary reason was for the great staff (feral druid can still support heal) and for the LW recipes. I'm having a hunch that Arcane Resistance will probably be more useful as one levels up. Also, the stats for an item can be beefed up with the blue sockets.

With healing, losing about 10-30 +heals didn't seem such a big deal. It is only one shoulder enchant. I'm hitting about 993 heals atm and that's without +heals enchants. My aim is to get over the 1K heals line before heading into raids. My pride and joy is a helm that has +116 heals.

nothing good for profession recipes. the shoulder enchant is cbf to 20/41. (priest)
but then if 28/33 then will be doesnt matter ?

sycers staff got good sta n int, while sha'tar get the +282 healing. hmmm

Up to you. For some folks it matters because they might not have much options in getting other uber gear.

It's a lot easier to get the Scryer staff compared to the Sha'tar's healing mace. But at the end of the day, it's really up to you.

lol! then probably look at factions as money earner. not from rep grinding but from the quests.

like JC train up 375 + recipes, 1st month bc cut gem 20g each, 2nd month 15g each..now become 10g each some even lower..

but....the price of recipe in AH nvr drop !!!
