If the high rise got fiber, can apply 100Mbps.
If the high rise got copper, can apply 50Mbps, but depends on the attainable speed. Just walkin to TMPoint and said that you wanna go for 50Mbps and ask them to check your attainable speed. The attainable speed will depends on the copper quality from equipment room until the telephone port at your house whistling.gif

This year around January the technician came to my house and installed Unify but not hypptv and thus I didn't get my tv box. How do I get the tv box for now?
*
QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 9 2016, 04:32 PM)
Called your installer. I also had this issue. I called 100 as well, they said if I can't get my installer, will open a case for me and I will collect from nearest TM Point.
Long story short I managed to call my installer after few months...
*
i thought technician must make hypptv working and ask you to sign

when the technician come to install UniFi, i told him i dont use can leave aside no need open, he said cannot, he must install and show me it is OKAY, then i have to sign the form agree that everything installed already biggrin.gif

p/s: i just throw away one hypptv sealed box, which came with my streamyx package 3 years ago, i keep the UniFi Hypptv box only lol

guys, my unifi line is at my second floor. however my family find it inconvenient that they need to go to upstairs just to charge the cordless phone (yes, i know it's not very inconvenient actually but they just prefer have the phone downstairs). may i know is it possible to pull another phone line from the pole outside my house or i have no choice but to relocate everything from upstairs? i prefer the modem to stay upstairs cause it will be easier for me to access to
*
erm... landed? you dont have existing fixed line before apply UniFi?

I remain my existing fixed line when i apply UniFi, now i have two phone number, one is existing from the pole, another one is UniFi VOIP. But using existing phone line will be charged biggrin.gif

my UniFi BTU is upstairs as well, but my landed house last time using 4 cores cable for phone line, i manage to make it from BTU phone socket <---phone cable---> my existing phone socket upstairs, connect the 2 spare cores <---> go down stairs open up socket and look for the 2 spare cores.... and connect with the phone, now my existing fixed line phone and UniFi VOIP is side by side down stairs smile.gif

only doable if your upstairs have phone socket, because house use to link up all phone socket so downstairs ring, upstairs also ring biggrin.gif and also internal cable for the phone socket must be 4 cores... 2 cores you may choose to sacrifice existing fixed number if you have.

yes, i stay in landed property. i have still have my previous phone number but we only use it to receive call cause the new phone number from unifi package come with free call. what do u mean phone socket? i snapped a photo here for u to see what is mycurrent unifi setup. [attachmentid=7752495]
do u mean i need to change the thing i squared in red into the 1 with 4 ports? my current 1 has 3 ports.

good idea!! but i need to buy 2 cordless phones cause we dont like the motorola that TM gave us. reagrding ur second point, I dont get it  confused.gif would u mind to elaborate on it further? notworthy.gif
*
why your photo the rectangle in red looks like ADSL filter/splitter??

your UniFi for landed not direct fiber to your house? and Unifi phone is VOIP, connected directly to your UniFi BTU, nothing to do with the existing phone

I just subscribe to Unifi 30Mbps plan last month, rm 242.90 a month,
and just now checking the tm website they reduce the price to rm199 a month, mahai Tm  mad.gif
oh my beloved malaysian company  puke.gif
*
is it pro-rated? Unifi is pay before use, for example your UniFi start use on 25th Sept, next bills you pay is RM199+6% AND 25th until 30th Sept RMxx.xx
if you use at 1st Sept, your first bill could be 2x RM199+6% biggrin.gif unless you get one month free promotion when subscribe to UniFi which i get it two years + ago...

I have one question, if a place got unifi ready, but no port to subscribe under TM. Will there be possible that one can Maxis instead if there is service available even TM has no ports?
*
should be can, because Maxis borrow TM Fiber biggrin.gif

Would like to ask, anyone knows if there is a way to have HyppTV connect across wireless?

I do not have any LAN connection to the living room, and since we have to subscribe to HyppTV anyway, I'm looking for ways to utilize it.
*
use homeplug biggrin.gif wireless i not sure, but HyppTV need to plug ino the LAN4 for the TM provided router, if your own router configure for UniFi, suppose is port 4 also... simply plug into any LAN port will consume your Unifi bandwidth if not mistaken

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to check for Unifi Users. do you all have to pay monthly rental for fixed line? My existing streamyx package actually voids my phone rental and keep it at RM 1.
Was wondering what will happen to this if i switch over to unifi.

The RM 179 package is damm tempting for me as I am currently using 1mbps
*
RM0 cost for keeping fixed line... i am using fixed line phone and UniFi Advance package BUT UniFi VOIP call for some customer they give free calls... so my fixed line is just receiving call, not calling out anymore biggrin.gif

Sometimes, I dont understand why the need to bash TM router. There are many reported users are fine with it as well with no known issues (such as limited connectivity or disconnections). Probably there might have been some models in the past had issues but lets not generalize as a whole.

I had been using DLink AC1200-815L with no issues at all. The wifi coverage is fine, even at the back of my house (upstairs) I do get around -70dBm, thats close to 50% of the signal.
*
have you use the older model 615 before 815L? the new one 815L is a lot better

Yes, hope for the best.
I think it was stuck. I closed and started again, it was OK.
So what she told me is every eligible customer will get email or SMS but just gotta be patient as it takes time to blast.
I doubt so. I'm preparing to send MCMC an escalation soon.

the surprise email get into my hotmail spam blink.gif
