I am still on VIP5. Anybody know any ways to get a free upgrade to 10mbps from TM?

Already past 2 year contract (ended in March) and also prompt payment via auto-debit since subscribing the service.

Yeah definitely haha. I just hope that TM will value their customers especially those who's being a long time on their Pro plans, since the beginning of 20mb with rm2xx price tag.

if u are landed, i think no problem la (maybe need to switch equipment if really necessary). after-all, fiber can easily support up to 1Gbps

5 -> 10
10 -> 30
20/30 -> 50
50 -> 100
100 = 100

upgrade only for existing Unifi customers by end-2016

Is this for real!?? RM179 for 50mbps? So did you accept the offer?
*
Basically, it's like u terminate existing Unifi and then get the RM179 for 30mbps with 24-month contract. Come 1 Jan 2017, they will upgrade it to 50mbps

If really next year 1st Jan can get RM179 for 50Mbps, then i wonder for me VIP 20 pay RM219 per month will upgrade to 100Mbps?
*
There won't be a 50mbps for RM179 plan next year. Free upgrade in 2017 is for existing customers and customers who signed up before Jan 2017.

VIP20 most likely free upgrade to 50mbps

Nowadays, how fast can TM set up new Unifi connection after i registered online?

Currently on VIP5 without contract, but thinking of subscribing to Adv30 after moving into new house (either this month or early Dec)

Anyone encounter this problem before?

Today unifi came to install at my condo unit. Planned to get 30 mbps RM179 package.
But when the installer came, he said the wiring/cable in my unit dont support 30 mbps speed but can support 5 mbps, so he said got 2 option either ask for 5 mbps speed or tell building management to change the wire. He said he check downstairs ok so my unit problem.

I told nvm la just install first so i will be able to use internet even if limited to 5 mbps. Installer said cannot cause line not stable, will have a lot a problem, disconnect, etc.

I called unifi to say i want 5 mbps but they say dont offer that package anymore and told me my only option is to ask my building management to look into the wiring issue.

Normally is it the building management will handle or my own responsibility to change?

Even with 5mbps, u might have problem. Depending on how bad is your wire.

I can get full speed on my 5mbps. But it seems there's tendency to disconnect when i torrenting at full speed. Sometimes la, not always.

But the obvious problem is, my HyppTV will lag when i watch it while torrenting. It seems my line cannot support the 5mbps (internet) + up to 8mbps for HyppTV
