I really hope the console itself is priced around 1500, but doesn't look very likely after seeing how much NES classic is priced now (60 USD vs 600 MYR wtf)

In Sgp, the Nintendo Switch pre order need to bundle with Zelda and 1,2 Switch for SGD 139....

So for Msia, so far so good? No need bundle with games?
*
zelda AND 1,2 switch?

EDIT: guess it would be more or less the same here considering maxsoft is from sg.

Oh god this is a nightmare. Qisahn, one of the famous SG store also confirmed this. Since Malaysia is also distributed by Maxsoft, we will be in this mess too. Looks like I'm getting 1,2 damn switch.

Edit : YEAP, IT'S REAL, just checked with local shops. What the hell man, Nintendo of America was like, we didn't include pack in game because we want you to make the decision.
*
ok, time to think about importing one hehehehehe

Console hardware will be imposed with a 20% import tax along with 6% GST last I checked. Ordered 3DS from Playasia and got hit by tax from mailman.

P. S. Most overseas preorder has SOLDOUT as I've checked US, UK and Japan. You can preorder them from 3rd party like Amazon but even in Amazon.jp the price is jacked up an extra ¥10,000 (MYR380)
*
naise, thanks
oso possibly need to do SIRIM certification too... got that when i imported my phone few years ago before gst, that's another at least RM100
did ur courier handle all that for u?

Really? Meaning we will need to pay 126% of the price shown? That's quite a lot.
*
120% + 6%, not really 126%
so in total around RM 1.7k

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that only applies for devices with GSM services like phone. I've imported a few electronics (except phones) before and none needed SIRIM.
*
no idea, i only imported a phone from amazon uk once

That is still extra money that I do not want to pay. What Maxsoft is doing in general is anti-consumer and is an obvious money grab. This shit wouldn't fly if it was in the US, UK or Japan.

Being complacent and justifying it as a better alternative is too Malaysian.
agree, if this is what they are going to do, imma schedule a trip to other country to get one later this year
EDIT: or wait until someone selling it on sites like lazada (:

Wonder if can I swap with bomberman R?

If they are to force ppl buying a bundle, I would be happier if they are giving us a choice ):

What I don't understand is why 1-2 Switch? If Nintendo is confident, any games will do because there are titles that are just ports that probably needs more help to sell.
*
nintendo doesn't have official presence here, prolly maxsoft wanted to ensure 1-2 switch is sold well

Guess  i won't be buying a Switch anytime soon. I think Nintendo has pretty much screw up.

1. Launch titles are a joke. It's LESS THAN THE WIIU! I have absolutely no confidence the 3rd party support will continue in the long run.

2. Crazy expensive Joycons.

3. USB 2.0 seriously in 2017??

4. Paid Online services which is much inferior to PSN in terms of getting the games. Nintendo rent it out to you instead of just giving you free....ancient games everyone can play on emulators.

The only game i am interested in is Mario Oddysey, and that won't come anytime soon.

So i will just wait for the Holidays and if there is a price reduced bundle with Mario, then i will consider to buy one.

Looking at the current situation, i thiink this might be Nintendo's last hardware failure.

RIP. Hopefully, they can become a 3rd party developer for the PlayStation 5 by then.
*
1. launch titles, erm no comment

2. indeed

3. http://tendoswitch.com/usb-3-0-support-con...uture-update-2/ to be updated to 3.0, but i think the one connecting the console and dock is thunderbolt thing running thru usb-c and 3.0...

4. still no one knows for sure what is happening there

they spread all their important titles throughout the year instead of releasing them one shot, we prolly gotta observe longer before making a conclusion. Also they started bringing some of their games to the mobile, i would be quite surprised if they are not making money there

if that price is achieved, then good for local buyer imo since those pretty much like console + 1 free game + 1 purchased game price.
*
1600 bundle?! wao, now i am impressed
my budget for the console is <RM 1600
would be nice if it the forced bundle is around that price
