Spec wise Ninty said they want it to be profitable right off the gate so I don't expect cutting edge tech. But since the game will be averaging 32GB I hope they give some generous storage space, or at least that newly announced 1TB Sandisk can come in handy. biggrin.gif

This one confirmed i will buy at launch if they got new Super Mario Galaxy S7 Edge.

Oops.. i meant Super Mario Galaxy 3. biggrin.gif

I hope this one doesn't bomb hahaha (gedit?) laugh.gif

6) I believe Nintendo also have some suffering from the disbanded developer that make some awesome game for previous gems, eg. Metroid series, Kid Icarus team. Thats why classics are awesome. They have alot of great IP on its own. Sad to see no more Advance Wars and Metroid in newer platform
*
The last Advance Wars bombed hard (they even canceled the release in Japan). But the developer (Intelligent System) is still growing and busy milking the Fire Emblem franchise. Maybe they'll do a last ditch effort to revive it like they did with FEAwakening.

The  format is in cartridges. Means there is no need for huge storage in the console itself for installing games like a PC or other consoles for faster loading time. If Nintendo kedekut enough, they can make the developers allocate 4GB as read/write memory for save games/dlc/update etc..and they even need less storage in the console.

I see they will give 64GB to 128GB max for internal storage for the eShop games download.

Having physical media for portable device doesn't make sense nowdays, too cumbersome. Planning to go full digital download after 3DS.

Malaysia internut still slow macam tahi in general. Physical media ok lah, cartridges now is very small. Not N64 cartridges. LOL.
*
But at least it's unlimited. I can just leave it on standby overnight and download all the games no problem. I kinda already sick of switching carts on my 3DS especially on the go. Not to mention having to keep the small carts at a safe place to not end up like this guy.

QUOTE(greyshadow @ Sep 22 2016, 11:17 AM)
pls no more of that 64/128gb puny storage shit
Storage are cheap nowadays, pretty sure plug in a 500gb HDD is cheaper than using a 128Gb flash memory
in this digital era, 128Gb is like nothing, download a few games and it's full already doh.gif
*
Disc based hdd eats up battery power so most likely have to use SD cards.

Game cartridges ok what. Aren't portable all using carts? PSP with disc also failed.
*
Nonono. I just pissed at games/tech journalists treating carts like they're dead since the end of N64.

But only the guy holding can see right? Other people cannot see?
*
The 3D screen can only autocalibrate for one pair of eyes. I think very few people would want to spectate other people's handheld gaming session in the first place lol.

I doubt NX would have 3D though. The screen is costly and the performance hit isn't worth it to be honest, I would prefer higher framerate/ resolution than 3D .

Yea for me personally I dont even turn on the 3d on my New 3DS

I still turn it on my regular 3DS LL at least at the lowest level. The picture looks sharper and the 3D is still somewhat noticeable.

Nintendo Switch looks pretty VR ready considering all you need to do is detach the controllers and put the screen in a headset.

All the speculations have to wait until next year to confirm lol. Makes sense considering Nintendo still have to sell 3DSes this holiday season and they don't want to canibalise sales.

How naive people are thinking the Switch can be on par with XB1 with today's battery tech and 250-300usd price range. 😅

5th Jan 2017 NVIDIA will be at CE 2017....

Not sure if it's happening now or tomorrow.

Maybe they will leak something on the Switch's technology.

I'm still excited to get this new console, though the price is definitely expensive. If we are to include the accessories, basically 500USD shocking.gif  I'm sure Nintendo is pricing it for 2 different systems - a handheld and a home console. With our current currency exchange, it's RM2000+. Crazy!
*
How many accessories are you going to get lol? For me I see no extra expenses except for extra SD card storage.

Forced bundle is nothing new to Maxsoft. Last time they launch Wii in Malaysia they brought in >50 copies of Sonic and the Secret Ring to a small counter in Jusco lmao.

Well I wouldn't be too quick to condemn them. Maybe they're facing similar restrictions from the higher up: less hardware supply unless they put more orders on softwares.
