no need to speculate whether pre-order quantities is very small only or not. they outright flatly tell the 1st shipment is 2m worldwide since last year, with extra 1m might be able to produced in order to fulfil march allocations. for april onwards, it's other case as they haven't really said much for next fiscal year. obviously not all 2m in 1st shipment is solely for pre-order, as there'll as well allocation for day 1 walk-in purchase but I don't really see it is the case where day 1 allocation >> pre-order allocation, at least for major retailers

I guess that import duty for consoles threw many ppl off since not many people (including me) know that. taking consideration of their own profit, price not really surprising now. but there's a flaw with this logic as obviously gh doesn't take the stock @ retail price from maxshit, so yeah this current situation is still scummy enough

Funny how import duty and all other stuff comes into play exclusively for Switch. Past console Wii U, 3DS, PS4 all priced so fairly.
Again, very sure the RM100 extra is just GH's doing.
I prepared RM2k for worst case, just in case suddenly MYR goes down again because I plan to get one regardless of bundles or not, jokes on me.
400usd PS4 Pro only cost RM1.8k but Switch bundle cost RM2.5k...
Really considering on pulling my pre-order, i just felt stupid if I seriously cave in.

ikr. that's why that 10% import duty comment by someone in that reddit post throw me off a bit. i guess it's taken into consideration for new imported console, not well established ones lol. pretty sure pre-price cut 3ds back then was 1k+ when the currency exchange during that time is less than 3.5

splatoon 2 global test server 3 weeks after switch launch. anecdotal evidence but I've seen ppl said "thanks Nintendo for baiting me to get switch early" laugh.gif

there'll be Multilanguage in os. effectively all switch produced are the same for all region. while it's not really confirmed yet, the hints too obvious
- both fcc & ce mark/logo/name on the back of device. fcc is us certification, ce is European. region locked device don't have both at the same time most of the time
- aonuma said you can change botw language by changing system language (in reference by dual audio question)....

i'm not sure why ppl still comparing game price between a dedicated console that has no official presence in a region with a distribution service that implemented regional pricing just to prove a moot point. but then again it's 2017 and list warz are still exist, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

edit: btw, did gh/qisahn/impulse or any retailers around this region actually say when they're going to get their stock from maxshit? as in delivery/pickup will be on global release date or there'll be few days delay?

you can change Nintendo account country anytime as you like, but need to be linked with the same country as nnid when you're using it. as eshop right now (3ds & wii u) primarily use nnid, suggested would be either us or Canada (before this it's prepaid code vs credit/debit card but recent 'change' allows non-us card to be used for us eshop, us might be the ultimate choice now)
if you don't have nnid atm, you'll have to wait until you got switch as the registration can be only done on the console
