QUOTE(Someonesim @ Jul 27 2017, 07:45 AM) Followed back there's a reason why its much cheaper than an original for a reason IMO, if you're planning to hold on to em5m2 for years, worth invest into ori/genuine batteries. Last time when I'm on em5 mark 1, I got extra ori battery as well as 2 China batteries, and those China battery only have about 50-70% of 'claimed' capacity ( or when compare to genuine ). In the end, I only keep 1 in my bag for emergency. but its a good buy for emergency situation. bought 2 wasabi brand and +- its 80% compare to original. also it will degrade overtime. now feel like 60-70% then ding dong ady. |

Reviews of the lens not very good since it isn't a constant 2.8. this, either the user choose to have longer reach or constant 2.8 with a shorter reach. most reviews just say it's sharp, the low light performance not very good only Saving $$$ to get the 12-40.....2nd hand been hovering around $750 to $800 at SG. |

Safe to use? not sure why the big deal of using 3rd party battery, been using it since i get my first camera. the downside is the full capacity is roughly 80% or less compare to the original.aside that, it won't become note explode |

QUOTE(undine @ Aug 29 2017, 04:42 PM) yeah, my concern is exactly that - any smudge or dust on the filter = can wipe without any worry. but if it's on the lens as long as you did not drop your lens s8 on the floor/road, what's the harm of wiping off dust/smudge/fingerprint on the lens itself? i see, i guess shooting from the distance is alright, but im gonna be hiking an active volcano; the amount of dust and particles gonna be insane well i do have the intention of upgrading to em1mII next year, but the UHS-2 card is like two times higher than the USH-1 card compactness affected is true, but not really a concern for me. i used to have a filter (cheap one) for my 17mm, but removed it after a while coz it prevented me from getting really sharp images btw, good to see that oly my now organizing event/workshop on weekdays as well i always clean it with lens pen and so far, its still great. if i wanted to protect my lens, just lens hood on. previously i thought filter (normal) is a must to protect the previous, but meh, the coating on the lens nowadays is good enough. |

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Aug 31 2017, 07:03 PM) i read the ming thien 1 instead. yeap. even robin curse third gen ady still use 16mp. i think em-5 mk3 will only use 20mp, since em10 is entry level.tldr version: same em10 mk2 with better processor, cluster s-af, improved 5-axis ibis, but remain same old 16mp sensor and remove wireless flash rc |
