yesterday night i was driving my car , and a kenari tailed me ... i was not too slow ... but it keeps its headlight just behind my rear light .
i think he can see i looking at the mirror ...
then i just use another hand , pull away the rear view mirror ... i dont have anything to worry of or pressured about ... kekekek ...
pissed him off , so he quickly go the right and overtok me .

If I were you, I'll let him pass. Safety first.

If i am on the right lane, i'll switch to the left lane to allow him to pass.
If i am not on the speed lane and have no option to allow him to pass, i'll let go my foot from the accelerating pedal to open up a bigger gap from the car in front of me, so that in case of anything, i don't have to do emergency sharp braking.

Some idiots have no brain, so i'll have to do the thinking and take precautions for him too.

I hate them too especially those bengz wiralution with HID, they think their car is fast and furious. Normally what I will do when they tailgate me is just floor the pedal and let him smell my car's smoke. Works every time for me.

Another way of getting rid of them is just gently tap on the brake before letting him pass, it might sound phucked up but it will maybe teach him how dangerous to tailgate.

Bleh.....just hard brake and let him ramp ur back...

Hmmm...I rarely kena tailgate one. If big CC cars I'll give way lah. Small CC, BRING IN ON Joking la...I will give way. Safety first

Yeah....I'm like you too. I let those tailgaters pass because no point 'fighting' with them. Those a$$holes come from jungle wan...don't know how to drive.

accept the challenge n race v them... haha... or let them pass n tailgate bck them.... n highlight at bhind till they get blind.... lol.... but this is surely evil act... which make u an inconsidered driver... jz slow down ur speed and let them pass... they wont follow u forever v tortoise speed... brake slowly but not abruptly.... play safety guys... life is precious

All in all, just let them pass. If the front is jam full of cars, or he/she tailgate you wherever you go even in the middle or left lane, just drive as usual.



p/s: I think we have so much thread regarding this already.

i will slow down my car and give him a sign to overtake me... if he does not want to overtake me.... i will press the accelerator and smoke them.. heheh

How to Safely Conquer and Humiliate an Obnoxious Tailgater With Defensive Driving Arts


You too may have learned the great wisdom of driving slower than faster in life, and had to put up with that goliath SUV or speedster about to ram their way up your bumper. Now, you can practice simple, safe, and effective measures to defeat this enemy while also discouraging their poor behavior.

Steps

1. Properly determine you are being offensively tailgated. This will prevent you from abusing or overusing the following steps. Anyone can find themselves suddenly too close to the car in front of them, yet it is the offensive adversary who wishes to unsettle you into speeding up way beyond speed limits, to reward their ego.
2. Prepare for adversary's high beam lights by flipping your rear view mirror upward. You may already be flustered by their high beams or proximity of low-beams. Stay calm.
3. Tell your passengers to remain calm and that you are going to take defensive action.
4. Engage your hazard lights to signal your adversary for something unexpected. This constitutes an official emergency scenario and especially while highway driving.
5. Release your foot from the gas, and maintain both hands on your wheel, do not turn.
6. You will begin to decelerate, this will frustrate and confuse your adversary, causing him or her to consider all of the options.
7. Do not tap your brake unless on the extremely rare chance that adversary decides to slightly bump you, which is highly unlikely nor desired.
8. Once adversary has been scolded by their spouse, signficant other or friends for riding too close to a vehicle that technically needs to pull over, or they realize your speed is slowing down will they remove themselves as the problem.
9. Meanwhile, accept that nobody wants an accident and if the alternative to this is slowing to a stop, this is absolutely acceptable in terms of life values.
10. Prepare for honking, slurs, crying, or other protest as the adversary behind you has now officially become the "slow poke" driver for every other car behind them and you their sensei master.
11. As this driver now passes you in a storm to plow ahead, you have offered him/her an experience they can look forward too again, and again, if enough people read this, so do share the wisdom.
12. Consider changing lanes and driving in one which is frequented by slower drivers.


Tips

* Practice peace and calm as other drivers actions seek to disturb your driving practices.
* Remind yourself that you are entitled to the safest possible experience on the road and must offer this, to inspire others as well.
* Know that other cars who are not seeking to run you off the road will mentally respond to your hazards and slow driving with empathy and be reminded of how fortunate they are to not have a car problem.
* If they remain an abuse on the road or to you, consider a cell phone call to report the driver.


Warnings
* Never look at, engage, or taunt the adversary in any way, they must learn from repeat experience and their own bad outcomes, not our personal condemnation.
